Well I would definitely go with the 530i if it’s gonna be your only car over the 540i as they are just cheaper to fix and get better mpg, I would obviously look for the lowest mileage car within your price range but as long as matinence has been kept on a car I wouldn’t be to afraid of hike mileage as the M54’s in the 530i’s are really great engines and I don’t have a great way to test the sound system but I will say that the stock stereo in our 540i does sound quite good for a factory system

I would not buy an older BMW of this range unless you have a garage, tools and want to do mechanical work. There are so many parts on these cars that wear out and need to be replaced. And if you pay a technician to do it, it will cost many thousands. I have a 2003 540i and a 2001 330i for over a decade and I have a library full of receipts keeping these cars maintained. I joke that BMW stands for Big Money Waster. Get a newer simpler car and save yourself the headache.

no, only 2003 is an m-sport with the M5 suspension. All other years are sport.

I appreciate you think that bud but can confirm that was only us markets. 540i m-sport was made in 2002 facts.

Well I’m sorry that you feel insecure about the fact there are in fact automatic m-sport packaged cars, and I did in fact “look it up” before making the video to make sure I wasn’t spreading misinformation about the car, just as you have with this comment. And quite frankly we both are on the same page about wishing the car had a manual transmission but the m-sport package had nothing to do with what transmission the car was optioned with. Thanks 😊
