I remember playing this my freshmen year of high school and our student teacher didn't press the button to sync up the machine sounds at the right time, so we had to start over. It was his only job.
TheGeck I’m playing this song this year and when I saw the “sync to electronic groove” I was like... Dang this is cool!!! And ur comment is exactly what I did!
I was a clarinet player in high school. We played this in concert my freshman year. In the 6 years I spent playing the clarinet it was the most fun I ever had in band
Chris Church when we were given the piece for our last concert I remembered sitting there on timpani thinking what it would sound like in 120bpm and when I remembered the playback feature I had to try it.
I just played the piece and I got something to say, as a trumpet player I got to play so loud I was so happy, but at the end of each rehearsal my lips would kill me and feel light headed for all the air I just put thru my small mouth piece
It's odd to see a lot of comments being about people playing this piece of music during high school. I was an 8th grader when my school and I played it. It was challenging as a tuba player. Because its one of the few music pieces that involves/depends on tuba notes/changes. Either way. Such good music. I'll never forget playing it.
I remember getting this song for 8th grade. My final year of middle school. I practiced. Felt ready. Then for some reason, I missed the band concert that we played it in. I missed playing it. Imma try and get the other seniors to agree to play it with the middle school band.
My high school had to fill up a concert with less difficult pieces because some other people couldn't make it, and this was one that we played. I don't mind the relatively low difficulty though. It's really good.
You know I'm playing this as a Freshman in Highschool. This piece is my favorite that I've played but all the other members hate it. I also broke my finger that I play my third valve with so I'm at a disadvantage
@@bollyollybolly That's not true, in the song on their piece it tells them to get loud, they're naturally loud and very talented. Though they may be a bit underdeveloped due to them being in just 8th grade. But still, they're doing it rather well. So that's not the issue, if it were it would be fixed by now.
@@bollyollybolly Not to mention the size of the band hall is relatively large and carpeting was installed which means the factors do vary, doesn't mean my trumpets are doing it incorrectly.
Interesting. Is he/she using the backing track, because you would kind of have to stick with the tempo of that. He/She could also be pushing the tempo so it is easier to play at a slower speed.
