I see the perks of being a wallflower, I CLICK!!!!!! while im typing here while the song is playing, I just want to mention that this movie makes me so insanely happy, and made me really hopeful for the future when I watched it for the first time at 16 (3 years ago). something something me being the loner kid nobody likes. When Sam tells her brother "I dont think he has any other friends" and they immediately decided to absorb him into their friend group that made me so happy and really think something like that could happen to me. Long story short it never did lmao, but I've since decided to be the person who does that instead of waiting for someone to do that to me. Ive also decided to go to university for film starting this summer, I'm going to make films to make lonely kids like me feel safe and hopeful just like the perks of being a wallflower did to me, and I'm not going to let anything stop me

The first time I had ever read the novel, I was two hits of acid deep at a party when I suddenly realized I didnt genuinely like the majority of the people there. I escaped to the basement, where serendipitously, this novel was waiting for me on the table. I started reading, pacing back and forth because I couldn't stand or sit still to save my life. I watched all these characters and moments come to life around me as I wandered through them. I finished it that night, its one of my best memories, one I'm thankful for, and I've been a fan ever since. I went out and bought my own copy of both the book and movie the next day.

I just saw this movie for the first time tonight. Since the beginning of the movie I had tears in my eyes because I imagined my high school self so much in this movie. When the movie ended, you guessed it I was crying my eyes out. It made me miss my high school friends that I no longer see. Made me think about my first relationship that I just wish I did better with. It made me think about the many things that I regretted and wish I’ve done. But it’s all in the past, and me and my mental health is doing better than it did then. This movie will definitely be something very close to me from now on.

Am I the only one who feels sad and very nostalgic watching this film? I mean even the ending, I always cry while watching it. It shows adolescence I'd like to have.

i loved this movie for many years and i cant even explain how it makes me feel. its literally a joke between my friends saying “ uh oh Kyle’s watching perks again”. This movie is everything i feel and some of it is what i want to feel. This movie. my favorite movie and book. Will forever hold a big place in my heart........ that was dramatic

I am a grown ass man who read the book in middle school, and when I watched the movie I wanted to cry my eyes out. This story is so sad and beautiful.

I finished the book in one night, it was the night I realized that I needed to get my shit together, I used to spend all day in bed a dreaming about dying, I would always see the negative but ignore the positive, this book/movie helped me a lot, it made me realize that i need to live in the good moments more and stop being so negative.

this song reminds me of the days i was happy .. i made a little mistake and met this person, now my life feels like one big disappointment

This movie made me cry, and I’m forever grateful for the experience. Highly recommend anyone who hasn’t watched Perks of being a Wallflower to watch it.

Charlie’s character goes through so much and he always has the courage to keep going, he’s a real hero and that scrappy hopefulness that he somehow embodies is exactly what I hear in this song, I love it!

Esse filme é tão bom. Tão marcante. A história dele sempre vai me marcar, e o livro também é muito bom e tem muitos detalhes que seria ótimo ter no filme, mas talvez ficaria grande mais. A parte do túnel é o que mais me marca, eu penso que quando entramos em um podemos sair dele de outra forma. Posso entrar sem esperanças e durante o túnel, olhar para as luzes, olhar para o fim - que você não vê - no túnel e assim pensar que quando sair tudo pode mudar sim, inclusive nós mesmo. As atuações foram perfeitas, o seu vídeo também.

Idk, just that little scene where they're driving through the tunnel reminds me of when I was a kid laying down in the back seat of my family's van looking up at the lights as they whipped across the window. My feet still couldn't reach across the car, the seat was like a bed, and it was later than my usual bedtime as we were coming back from some outing so I was being rocked to sleep by the hum of the car and the spell of the lights. Idk, I just started crying because I remembered the feeling of complete innocence and peace that I felt in that moment, and I'm so happy for that little girl that she got to experience something beautiful like that. I didn't feel nostalgia, I think it was more like expelling pain to fit and relive that space in time. I might've been weirdly healed from that. I guess, thank you. This song and video and really movie is helping me process some stuff and heal the pain inflicted on that little girl in the back seat. or maybe it's just late and i should get some sleep haha!

i read the book in one of the best times of my life i watched the movie on the worst day of my life. charlie has been someone i have sympathised with and related myself to during both.

I am so truly happy to see you finally make this video. I watched this film when it first came out and my god it spoke to me. From the moment in the film that he reveals his best friend shot himself I just started crying like a big baby and didn’t really stop till the end of the film.
