Out of all the montage I have created, personally I really love this one. It was for my LEAP Camp video submission which I only had a few hours to shoot and edit. It was such a pleasure to get the whole hall to watch it on the big screen
Similar to other montages, everything is candid but then I think how can I make this different from others? The introduction was the game changer for me. My first time directing seriously and such a big group.
One thing I learnt from filming and editing montage is To be a journalist and arrangement is so important. Arrangement helps to tell the story in montages, we are as if brought back into the moment of the documented journey as we look through what happen day by day. Why be a journalist? Well, if everything is being told and not authentic then for me it defeats the purpose of montage. Montage aims to document a journey and it's fun moments. So be a journalist, where we record everything without others knowing so that everything can be Authentic from subject being themselves
