Build an amazing and FUN magic trick box. The spectator puts a wooden block inside the box and the magician reveals the chosen color EVERY time. Great trick!
Great project = ) I suspected you looked at the bottom of the box but I didn't understand why unless there was some minimal peeking hole that wouldn't work anyways.
Interesting because it’s the same effect but different method for a trick I bought years ago. I was expecting my old trick but you fooled me. A good dad will let his kids participate instead of just watching. That keeps their interest up. You are definitely in the ‘Good Dad’ club. I enjoy watching everything you put on your channel.
Cool, perhaps a more portable version with no peeking required uses just a washer palmed.... or even simpler a PKR , no mess, no mat, and no need to peek, just feel. Drop the inside out after revelation and repeat
That would make it very difficult. They do sell thin wood at craft stores. I suppose you could use some hand tools to shape it along with some creativity. :-)
Do you have any more measurements as a guidelines for the box? I have some general wood tool skill, just looking for some direction. Looks like maybe 6" long outside? Also, I'd like to credit the source of this cool trick ... do you remember where you found it or who created it?
Hi Nick, My box is 4 5/8" long x 1 3/8" wide x 1 7/8" tall. The square block inside is 11/16" square x 3 3/4" long. The sizes can vary. When I was looking for something to make, I came across a similar RU-vid video and tweaked it a little to my liking. Therefore, I do not know the originator. Good luck on yours! Tom
@@AlleyPicked Thanks for your FAST and helpful reply. I'm having to reach out to my woodworker friends as I don't have access to the cutting tools right now. I know folks who can easily fabricate the box, I just need someone with the time :) Again, I sincerely appreciate it. Really nice little trick that I hope to add to my "walking around" set.
If you are willing, do you remember the RU-vid video that inspired you? I am enjoying tracing where this originated, and think I have found some good info. Having that video could connect it all together well. You have given me a satisfying project with your video ... haven't cut any "found wood" yet, but the background reading has been fun.
I did a little searching on my viewing history. I think this one may have been the inspiration: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-IcZMucWNEns.html Not 100% sure but that one was in my history and it looks familliar.
@@AlleyPicked Just in case you have any curiosity, the trick dates back to at least 1953, when it was Magic Trick of the Year (though done a bit differently).
