Born in the 70s, two magicians rocked my world. Doug Henning and David Copperfield. I grew up on these specials every year late 70's, 80s, and 90s. I even got to see each magician's show when they came to my local theater.
I haven't seen this for years , thanks for uploading. Wow, I had forgotten how appealing Cindy Williams is . She's lovely. She was on at least two of the early DC specials, right ? They seemed to have good chemistry together. I always felt like she was under utilized as an actress . Maybe she got typecast because of "Laverne & Shirley" , but when I see her in movies like "The Conversation" (Francis Ford Coppola) and "American Graffiti" (George Lucas) I wish she had done more theatrical movies.
Thanks for posting. I saw this when it originally aired. As a hardcore Bond fan, I loved Copperfield's Bond segment, especially the use of deep cut John Barry cues from OHMSS & Goldfinger.
Thank you so much for uploading these shows! They may look quite old fashioned nowadays, but it's still great to see how it all began for Mr. Copperfield (and of course in your next videos how he became one of the greatest illusionists of all time). I was born in 1982, so I've known about him ever since I was a kid, but up until these last few weeks I had never actually seen any of his shows. Isn't RU-vid a wonderful invention :-) ? I also have followed him since I was little. I was born in 1975 and loved every year one of his shows came on tv. I saw his show in Vegas a few weeks ago filling my number 1 bucket list and dream. I also did the meet and greet he is an amazing person to know. Go to vegas and see the show!

He looks like he had a big change in producers for his late 80s shows. Like he sexed it up later on. Plus in the late 80s shows he used alot of cool music.pet shop boys,peter gabriel,sting etc

Back in the day, Cindy Williams was a cutie.... and it actually WAS rare for David to full-on kiss any of his co-stars. You'll notice he avoided kisses later in his career.
