I'm still very sad this show ended. I have so many memories with it over the years. Friendship is Magic/Equestria Girls will always be the best incarnation of My Little Pony, and just because it's over does not mean the fandom has to die. Yeah even if the show ended, dosnt mean the fandom will. This show holds a special place in them, and that just leads many different ideas for them to create. Fans for and by the fans.
I am a brony, even though I haven't seen the actual show, I have seen some clips of the episodes. I'm very sad that Generation 4 ended in 2019 and about the fact that Twilight and her friends have gotten older. I loved them when they were younger. I wish Generation 4 could keep going.
We saw her almost fail her entrance exam. We saw her when she hardly had any friends. We saw her when she restored Princess Luna. We saw her when she defeated Discord. We saw her when she defeated Chrysalis and her changeling army. We saw her when she freed the Crystal Empire from Sombra. We saw her become an alicorn princess. We saw her defeat Tirek and become the Princess of Friendship. We saw her free Our Town and take Starlight Glimmer in as a pupil of her own. We saw her open a school of friendship. We saw her defeat Tirek, Chrysalis, and Cozy Glow. We saw her become the ruler of Equestria. We saw her entire journey. But she couldn't have done it without her friends.
She started her journey alone, thinking she didn't need any friends.......Now they're all ruling Equestria. Thank you for everything, Twilight Sparkle.

not chills, a welling up feeling of sadness, joy, happyness and other feelings , we normally lock away to not show to others, because we still are somewhat frightened , that those feelings could be taken as weakness. this show is and was a real blessing to many people out there , which cried out for help in any kind and found shelter in a series, which inevitably conquered not only the world, but also the hearts of so many , embedded itself into same heart and brought so much relief and joy. we should not cry that the show itself ended, i think , we all cry, because the message could fade away slowly, when we dont remember this absolute jewel of a series.
It opens with a book opening and closes with that same book closing I like to think that the book opening was mlp opening to our generation of mlp or the new generation at the time and that the book closing was closing so that the next generation of kids could see it but no matter what Generation 4 will forever be in are hearts as we welcome Generation 5 in with open arms
Christ i was in my late 30s when the show started and it hits me like a ton of bricks. Just so damn heartfelt and good in this disgusting sadsack world that seems to have gotten worse since 2010 or at the very least we see more of the vileness and evil that humanity loves to do. Hope yall maybe succeed at making things better because the Boomers and us Gen Xers sure as hell didn't seem to. If anything we seemed to have mostly made things worse.
As the father of seven, I have seen every episode, all the movies, laughed, cried, and rejoiced with the ponies, and held my children to the things they learned from Twilight and her friends. I even learned a few things along the way. Thank you for making the last ten years the best years.

My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, has taught me so much in the past 10 years, it has taught me to never judge a book by its cover, that we all have flaws and to embrace those flaws and that how friendship can exist throughout time and that true friends never put you down, true friends build you up when you are sad, true friends embrace your differences and that true friends never judge you for who you are
Well said! You know, I was not very fond of the show. But, I did watch it eventually. And I really enjoyed it. Some of the actors seem very familiar during my childhood. I am definitely going to miss G4. I’m not sure if I’m excited for G5.
So, I didn't really grow up with My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic, and I only started it this January and binged it to the end. And I gotta say... This show is fantastic. I grew attached and invested in the Mane Six and their friends and family, and laughed, cried, and stood proud with them at every single one of the lessons they learned and every single adventure they partook in. And I'm not even exaggerating when I say that Twilight Sparkle has become one of my favorite characters of all time, in all of fiction. When the familiar instrumental of the MLP opening played for the final time and book closed at the end of The Last Problem, I shed tears. I might not have grown up with it, but My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic was a great ride from start to finish. I only wish I'd given it a chance earlier.
I didn't either. I watched it in 2021 because it was borring being stuck at home, and I really enjoyed it. I learned a lot of lessons even if I didn't really grow up with it. Sad it had to end. Its never too late to watch it though.

I wish more animated series ended like My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic did. Flashing forward years later. Seeing characters go from young to middle age and old age. Characters go from kids to adults. So many strong emotions from all that.
I take my hat off to y’all, Mane Six. There were plenty of places to explore, met many interesting characters, and discovered life lessons along the way. All in all, these will never be forgotten and we the fans know it.

"all that is lost is eventually found, lost again, found all over again." -anonymous I think that this quote perfectly represents the MLP generations. G1 was the first, forgotten about, thought to be an average kids show, then G2, G2.5, G3, and G4... G4 was the one that really brought in fans. taking inspiration from the Generations before, and making a better, more fleshed out version. and now, G5... one that is about Equestria (or what remans) far in the future. it builds on the lost world from before and extends onward from it. I don't know what the G5 show has to offer, or even the other generations to come, but I will follow it, no matter what.
Honestly, from what I have seen G5 has failed to live up to the legacy. The writers wanted to capture the magic of G4, but they took the destruction of Equestria too far. They Destroyed the legacy of the element bearers, and in their place brought in a group that has far too much to do to restore it. A group of five friends may be able to bring the tribes together, but they have no one like twilight or celestia to unify them for good.
Although Twilight Sparkle is the Princess of Friendship, her friends are the true reason she knows what friendship is. It’s so sweet to see that future generations may have some doubts about friendship, but in the end, as Twilight said, the magic of friendship always grows.
A wonderful goodbye to a show that brought so many together. I’m a children’s book writer/illustrator so I mainly watched it too get ideas, and I like horses. I actually have a horse of my own. I was a fan of My Little Pony long before Friendship Is Magic was a thing.

I think what got me the most was that little Sunset Shimmer cameo in the montage at the end. All but confirming that EG was canon with the main line series.
3 years later and I still can't listen and not tear up. I love this show and the fandom so much. Honestly, this show has been everything for me for so long. I met all my friends through the show, and I've done the most growing of my whole life throughout the time I was watching it. It seems a bit silly to say, but this show has shaped me into who I am.

I cried my eyes out when I saw the book close as the show ended back in 2019. Three years later I still get shivers listening to this song. MLP will forever be in my heart as it taught me many lessons.

This song here is also one of my other most favorite songs from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic and it sounds really wonderful too. I'm also still disappointed though that the series already ended since there aren't anymore new episodes of this show now, but at least there are still reruns of this show on TV on the Discovery Family Channel along with some of the movies and TV specials too from My Little Pony: Equestria Girls which I also really like and I even get to see all of those here on RU-vid, of course.
I think it was a good choice that it ended way before 2020 disasters striked. I'll definitely missed the show, it was just surprisingly good and I liked every bit of it, wish my friends liked it. If the show tried to keep going during the pandemic then that wouldn't be good for the cast and everyone else that worked on the show since they'll be working from home instead. Now it just felt so empty without them making our days better back in 2020. I hope some are still around and staying safe,and sane. :(
Not only that, but looking back I feel 2019 was a warning that good things wouldn’t be around the following year. There was also Endgame, and the ending of Game of Thrones.
I understand that 2020 might have been a rough year for a lot of people. But if you really think about it, not EVERYTHING was that bad. I mean, there WERE lots of good things that have happened, too! But the truth is that bad things happen, and life will never be perfect no matter what we say or do. Plus, the events that occured that year were out of our control. But you know what? This show holds a very special place in my heart. It taught me how to maintain a healthy and strong friendship, how to identify a good friend from a fake friend, that friendships can be created wherever you are, that even though someone may seem intimidating, even a little scary, that doesn't mean that they are a bad person, and many other valuable things. This show played a big part in my life and played a part in making me the person that I am today. Thank you Twilight Sparkle, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Applejack, and Spike for teaching me so much about friendship and being a part of my life. You will all be missed but you will never be forgotten.
Coming back to this song on the eve of Generation 5... Damn but if I don't tear up at the end of this beautiful piece of art. It's an incredible song and a great climax to the show. Now to see what new adventures in Equestria's future that G5 will bring!
I found this show in the summer of 2022, and it provided me with some of the best times of my life. It sparked so much creativity in me, and I'm thankful for it! This is by far my favorite cartoon!
I felt so touched after the book closed this was definitely the perfect song for The Last Problem. And a perfect start for a new era. No matter how old I get this show will always be my favorite.
I wasn't very impressed with the episodes of the final season. It was clear the show was running out of plot ideas by that point. But damn this is one hell of a great song. The perfect way for the show to bow out. All the best songs before this were in the early seasons, so it was great to get this excellent one as the final send off.
Listening to this song now really makes you think, it's hard to believe it's been only 3 years since Friendship Is Magic ended. It seems like a life time ago yet it also feels like just yesterday.
On that fateful day, Twilight and her friends made off with there ultimate journey. Historical records indicate it may have been the very last heist they ever pulled off as ponies...
They really put in a lot of effort into making this final song as emotional and passionate as possible. The really wanted to put in a lot of effort to make the perfect closing song for the series.
I hope to see this song become available on iTunes. “The Last Problem” was a 50/50 venture for me, there were things about it that I liked and things about it that I didn’t like. But, this song here is one of the things about it that I like, and I would love to have it on my music app soon.
Heh glad I’m not the only one, really I love the episode but I do take major issue with how Twilight and Spike were designed. I feel it’s a diservice to both pf their charachters. That and the whole growing out of comics thing feels tone deaf given this ended the same year Endgame came out which showed just because you grow older doesn’t mean you need to stop caring about things like that.
I didn't watch this show specifically because it was marketed as something for little girls (and because I didn't own the channel it aired on), but I decided to give it a watch this year and it's very impressive. It's filled with lots of great characters and stories as well. I'm kinda shocked that it lasted a 9 year run. Looks like this show is much more than just a bunch of ponies going on about friendship after all, and I couldn't recommend it enough. Also this song gives me emotions I didn't know I had. Looks like I'm part of the brony community now but that's okay. I wouldn't mind at all if they gave this series some sort of revival or something of interest. Hope the fandom of Friendship is Magic continues on for years to come!
It’s been a couple years since this amazing show ended. Started watching it when back in 2012 when I was 9, I’m now 19 and I still appreciate this show for what it’s taught me. I still miss it to this day, but I’m grateful I got to grow up with it!❤

Even though this series has tried to recapture the magic with “make your mark and “tell your tail” it’s just not the same, And that’s exactly what makes this series better in 2023! And I’m willing to tolerate a few other problems I have precisely because I love this series so much!

I was 2 when this aired. Man that feel so long ago, Im 13 going on 14 now, and I gotta say, thank God my sisters brought me back to it. I actually just finished this show last night and bawled my eyes out. I started watching this when I was at home sick, and bored. I didn’t think I’d love it as much as I do. This show has changed so many lives and this song is absolutely beautiful. ❤️
I watched the show during quarantine. I definitely enjoyed it. I really wish I watched it sooner. I wasn’t very fond of the show, but I was very bored during the coronavirus pandemic so I decided to watch all of it. My life has changed for the better. Respect goes to my little pony and the actors, the whole cast. Friendship is definitely magic.
This to me, was what helped me survive 2020 and 2021. I actually discovered FiM back in 2016, but had no interest in it. However I managed to watch the first EG movie (as well as it sequels) and a couple of episodes (from 3-6, between Summer 2016 and Early 2017) and I thought they were decent. However Around December 2019 to July 2020, I was debating and worrying if I should watch the show because I didn't want my parents to find out. I watched the show from the ground up on Netflix and decided to watch to see if it's as good as people say and wow, I really need to slap myself for missing out (keep in mind, during that time I was obsessing over SpongeBob and Loud House at the time). Even though I had to watch the show at night and take breaks every now and again (I watched 1-6 in 2020, Watched 7-9 in 2021, and watched 1-7 and half of 8 on Netflix, and watched The other half of 8 and 9 through RU-vid). This show helped me at a time when I was at my lowest point as well as the world being set on fire and other issues *cough* COVID *cough.* I really thank this show a lot and It was said to see it go away.
It's a shame that my little pony is over, I used to watch it years ago but did not watch it again untill that summer of 2020 and didn't realize it had ended in 2019 may mlp live on to the next generation too.
Its do surprising how a show meant for little girls ended up becoming so much more. I was introduced to this show by my friend who showed me the MLP vs Sonic characters and I watched Episode 1 to understand the jokes better and found it really good. My friend kinda regrets that now. I'm glad he did though cause this show is probably one of my series I've seen and I will not be forgetting it anytime soon if at all.
