Shore jigging on the cliffs falce albacore/ false albacore/ Little tunny, Amberjack/ Ricciola, Dentex, Blue Runner/ Caranx, barracuda and grouper. In this shore jigging video we are fishing just before a Big storm. Fishing in rough sea and rough weather is one of my favorite times to go rock fishing and shore jigging because the fish become very active in the swell, waves and foam on the surface. Finding baitfish is a bit tricky at times.
There are many different Shore Jigging Lures, Jigs, Shore Jigging Gear, Shore Jigging Locations and Shore Jigging Techniques to consider during strong wind, heavy rain and big waves.

Awesome video mate, i have some slim jigs on hand on 100g however i haven’t tried them. They’re quite long so i am wondering, do fishes bite on “head part” of the jig?

Thanks buddy! They're actually not that long when you compare them to jigs such as needle jigs and so on. If you feel like you are getting many missed bites you can use longer assists, especially if you are fishing high up in the water. Try them and you will get confidence in the slim jigs instantly!

Hey man! Thanks for your comment! Yes, I constantly check apps like Windy to see how the current and other factors are going to be. When I am at the spot I look for streaks of calm water on the surface which indicates where the current is and from there figuring out what direction it is going and how deep it is running. This you figure out easiest when casting in all directions. If you have a lot of resistance, you are fishing against the current and if there is no resistance the current is pushing the jig towards you. It is always better to jig again the current to get the best animation out of your jig otherwise the animation will be cancelled out by the current punishing it from behind. What determines a good current, depends very much on the spot and the species and how the bait fish reacts to that current.

@@NicodaFishing thank you for your feedback, Once on the spot I can determine if there is current and the direction of the current, but is it possible to know in advance via application or other the direction of the current and its power ? I use several applications but the data does not seem very reliable to me

Hello sir, how was the 8000 saragosa for shore jigging. I bought a 6000 saragosa but i found a an issue on it so i ran back to the shop and they replaced it with 8000 because thats the last gosa left. Its a bit heavier for me because i only use 80grams of jig on my 10ft 60-100g rod. Do you think it would match. I use p.e 3 only. Thank you sir

Hi! Thank you for the comment. I use a lot of 80g jigs and I love the Saragosa 8000! If you think it is a bit heavy, you will soon get used to it and not notice the weight. To me it feels strange when I go back and use my 6000 spheros, everything is just too light and I am so used to the 8000 now! Give it a few sessions and you will love it!
