THE MAGIC OF THERION (probably the best music you'll ever hear) - with onscreen commentary 

Therion was THE band for me for years...the old albums were great, the new ones too. In 2003 I worked in the Swiss mountains over the winter and listened to Therion every evening...! When you are as close to nature as you are in the mountains in winter, you feel the energy and power of Therion.

Therion is ridiculously amazing. They're daring with music, they take chances. They took the symphonic metal route long before the combination was as settled and praised as it's today, and they're still taking chances even now. Great band, great professionals, and great music.

I always wonder how people can compare Therion with Nightwish and Epica or such others..these are just some bands with female vocalists .. Therion is its own thing, it's a concept born from the mind of a shy eclectic. A universe where occultism and esotericism ,religion and mythology ,theosophy and philosophy from Europe to India are melted. Thanks for all these years of impressive work mr Johnsson

Therion is so much more than just some band, or even just a musical act. It is a door of perception to the esoteric, or rather the key to the door that exists within our minds. How could one listen to something like Ginnungagap and not FEEL the creation of a new world?

you CAN'T make a Therion collection that i won't like, simply because I *love* ALL their songs!!! I've seen them live 4 times (first one was "Theli" and i was *blown away* ), I even have their logo tattooed on my arm!! *BEST* band in the world!!! \m/

Therion are awesome. I remember the first song I heard by them was "The Beauty in Black" way back in the 90s (when I was a teenager) playing on the radio. I was already deep into metal (still I am) and I was fascinated by the opera/metal mix, but I didn't know what band it was, not even the name of the song (not a lot of internet back then) till a friend lent "Deggial" and "Leppaca Kliffoth" to me. I was blown away not only by the music but also because of how different the two records were. Then I grabbed hold of "Theli" and "Secrets of the Runes", which I liked even more and are still my favorite records by them to this day, though I love "Vovin", "Lemuria" and "Sirius B" as well.

It's nice to know that someone else out there loves Therion like I do. I live in Canada, which is starved, as is the U.S. for music that comes from a place of true passion and emotion. I had to travel to Amsterdam for a Therion concert to meet another Therion fan. I only discovered their music a few years ago, with "Secret of the Runes", and I was immediately hooked. I've never been so moved by music in my entire life, and the day that Mr. Johnsson hangs up his guns will be a sad one indeed.

snowy shaw was most important piece for therion for example ''sithra ahra'' album was one of best album in their career also , it had combined with symphony and lots of theaterical acts together I miss snowy shaw and ex members indeed

Therion is really one of the best of the best. I learned to play guitar from their records. And i still remember a few from DEGGIAL. Just listening, enjoying and playing. Many thanks to this band! I learned a lot without live teachers!

I first heard them in 2000 or 2001, I was still in high school, and tried to collect every possible metal album with mythological and/or Tolkien topics. I love Therion till now. Their kind of music was a real revelation in then still isolated Bulgaria.

They are my fav band ever. I still miss Lori, Karlsson, Snowy, Mats and the Niemans... it was my fav line up... but this is the one band I could not give up. I am so excited for the next album!!!! specially after the (how much I dislike) french album and (I am not a fan and will never be) the beloved antichrist. I am so positive for new album!!!!!!!

Greetings from Mexico! I have always liked Therion, I remember the 1st time I ever heard them was in a Scorpions cover, Fly to the Rainbow from the A'arab zaraq lucid dreaming album, I just fell in love with them, got out of the loop for so much time, but I'm back to listen to some more beautifully composed music. My favorite all time album as of right now, is Les fleurs du mal, is not just different, is a work of art. That album, is what's gonna mark the 2010's for me, it is like the Moonspell's Wolfheart of the current decade. But, Why compare Moonspell with Therion, you might ask... no, I'm not comparing them, Therion is in a higher level musically, but the Wolfheart album is the mark of an era for a lot of people, me included, is the kind of album you could listen once and again and again from the 1st to the last second, the same can be said from Les fleurs du mal for me, I just could listen to it as many times as humanly possible. Another big player in my personal taste, is Haggard with the album And thou shalt trust... the seer. Even thou people didn't like Anette Olsen so much, Dark passion play from Nightwish is also one of my all time favorite Albums. Sorry for the long uncalled for comment, just needed to get that out of my chest, and 90% of the people I know loves and cheers other kind of misogamist and poorly composed popular music from all Latin America.

Therion and Nightwish are the 2 greatest musical acts ever.

Being a Therion fan for more than 20 years, I really enjoyed this video! In fact I don't think I've seen something similar before. We could talk a lot about the selection of songs but with such a vast discography it's really hard to narrow it down to 20 or even 30 songs. Anyway, great job!

for me Theli was like eyeopening. it was my first contact with therion. but with vovin i got adicted to therion. Now, one of my greatest favorit is the Feuerovertüre. Thx for this mix. I realy like it.

Being an old fart,77,this and Nightwish is what i consider to be adult rock.I only rece ntly discovered the m.Cant get enough as the current music sucks,i haven't listened to radio for years as im tired of the same songs and artists over and over again.
