This is a masterpiece, sadly I only found this after digging around the drama of TurtlesandThomas closed channel. The amount of work and planning in this is on a completely new level for the Thomas fandom. The sneaky adult humour stops RU-vid from dumbing this into a blasted 'RU-vid KIDS' video. Apart from the great aspect ratio, the beautiful framing and endless composite and animation shots the real work I notice is the audio track. What an achievement against a fandom thats imploding.
I really hope you understand how appreciated this movie is to all of us, especially those who grew up on this movie. Whatever you are doing now with your life, I'm confident you are doing your best. Thank you.
And 20th anniversary when Thomas and the magic railroad first came out. But still this was a smashing success parody. And happy 75th anniversary Thomas keep making tracks to great destinations. - Kamsi
Enterprisingengine93 the end credits scene with schemer legit blowned my mind away I can’t believe you guys got to contact Brian o Conner and going to the original magic railroad movie fliming locations with the original shining time station or knowned as muffle mountain station here and Burnett’s workshop and strasburg railroad and the original freaking viaduct but Brian o Conner omg I cant believe you guys did that that’s awesome
I got to say you, turtles, rob and Vinnie really pulled it off and wasn't expecting to see Brian O'Connor play scheamer and credit to tomprops for saving the big dipper as well as appreciation for traveling to the isle of man for the past locations well done. What a way to remake a movie and not mashing footage of other characters from different shows that is a true parody you all put together and I would love to make a review of it on deviantart if that's ok thank you.
@@chavopatyduckoliverfanstud4149 Bruh. Dude Alfred and Crovan are fanmade characters and I really doubt Vinnie would make customs of characters only needed for one shot.
For sheer spectacle, scale and the immensity of the undertaking alone, this should go down as one of the greatest projects the Thomas community has ever produced. I have no idea how you funded or pulled it off, but I doubt we'll ever see anything like this again. EVERYONE involved deserves a tip of the Top hat, and as much praise as we can muster!
10:39 “he happens to be a large wooden train with a face pulled on a string, please don’t judge him” *FINALLY SOMEONE ACTUALLY ACKNOWLEDGED THE IMPORTANCE OF THE FISHING LINE/STRING!*
I especially love the "Post-Credit" sequence, at first I thought "whoever played Schemer in this parody film did a really good "Brian O' Connor" impression" only to then be surprised after the reveal that *SPOILER ALERT* that ACTUALLY IS Brian O' Connor reprising his classic "Shining Time Station" character after all these years. I don't know how you guys did it, but thank you very much for making it happen.
And to think they never considered giving him a cameo in the actual movie. They got Didi Conn to come back, they pushed the whole "this is as much a Shining Time Station movie" into it but failed so miserably.
@@lawrence142002 too bad, I made a fan rewrite a while back and actually had him featured quite prominently in the Shining Time portion of the story. Basically it's revealed his mother was actually a wealthy heiress who was the towns biggest landlord. When Schemer inherited it all, a conman convinced him to take part in a plan to drive the town into the ground through forcing tenants out because a condition of owning the land was that they couldn't sell it as long as the Railway still served it. By making the town decline and people move away, the Station would be closed, a very real-world based problem, no need for an evil diesel in magical world to somehow have an impact. Of course in the end he has a change of heart and the day is saved bhr I figured that would be a stronger story and show more complexity for the character. Think he'd have come back one more time for that?
Regardless of the film itself, I think we should take the time to appreciate that this was made in the first place. How many people can say that they wrote, directed, filmed, produced, and edited their own film? I'd venture to guess not many can. I can tell that this is a true labour of love from everybody involved. I think we all want the crew to know that their work is appreciated and recognized within this bubble of opposing opinions we call a fandom. Well done to all of you, and especially Vinnie for setting out to make this in the first place, and succeding in the process!
by liking this comment, you absolutely agree that this film is such an incredible masterpiece. Dank humor, weed, and amazing locations. In the words of Mr Conductor: “This is the Way.” Mandalorians descending on Sodor: “THIS IS THE WAY.” 🤪❤️
This has to be the best fan production I ever laid my eyes upon. So well thought out, so many clever references and throwbacks to the original. Everyone who was part of this movie should be really proud! Also...can we please get a spin-off episode about where the rabbit went? In every scene he was in I couldn’t stop laughing 😂😂
This is no parody, this is a masterpiece, four years on this amazing project and I'm so proud of what you've done. The acting was great, Splatter and Dodge were outstanding characters, you showed George's character in this movie and he was great. the human characters were improved, but the one thing that you did that shocked me the most was none other than Diesel 10's character. I've never scene this side of Diesel 10 before, his backstory was dark, his character was great, but it was truly pinchy that stunned me. the one scene that made me cry was when Diesel 10 said "I'm not the monster, you are" and Tines doing the score, he did an outstanding, heartwarming, and the most emotional and best music in this movie. The chase scene was so much better, despite being the only thing that was my favorite part in the original movie, this one had emotion and was filled with spills and thrills. EE93 and TurtlesandThomas made me laugh and have excitement when they played my favorite and characters I wished returned in the series, best joke, oh we gave up the fan base long ago, I laughed and boy these two were great. Take a long break man, I know this project was stressful and was taking a lot of time, but you did it. This is your best video and project so far, I thank you and everyone else who did the project and I can see they put in a lot of care making this movie. Thank you and Sparkle, Sparkle, Sparkle.
@@evelynqueenofalternatives3225 Except for that side of Diesel 10. He's fine as he is in the real film, fully evil, aware that he's a monster and proud of it, doesn't need a backstory and not tragic. He's just a evil diesel with a normal claw, nothing else. That parody is stupid. Has to be better than that.
Currently watching through parts of this for maybe the tenth time now since its release and I just keep feeling this overwhelming sense of love for these characters, love for the universe, love for art in general through these little vignettes, all brought into view by Adam's amazing score, the team's brilliant scripting, and the wonderful voice actors. Visually this film is the highest achievement I've seen from the fandom, still- but emotionally and thematically, I think it succeeds in ways that reach far beyond the simple concept. You guys succeeded in making a fantastic parody, but you succeeded even greater at making us care for a reminiscing addict, a troubled victim of AI, a lost steamroller, a powerFUL teenager, and even the little blue engine who brought us here. The way you convey the emotions of each scene through the dialogue, music, lighting, and editing is superb, and there are even shots I did myself that I look at now that make me smile with the same feeling of love for what is being conveyed. Congrats on making an ensemble film where almost every character has an arc and a reason to be there, and thank you for dedicating so much time to tell THIS particular story. Honored to be a part of the Magic Railroad.
Nicky, the chances of you spotting this comment is very slim considering this is gonna blow up in a matter of minutes, but I genuinely feel the need to say this: This movie was an absolute work of art, and I’m not just saying that. The production value was on point, the animation on the trains was massively well done, and the humour overall was just too good for a Thomas movie. I also adore how you persevered to get this movie online despite the crap that went on behind the scenes. That takes true dedication and it shows that you care for your fans enough to keep pushing forward. Also, I have to say I really enjoyed the additional elements of the story and how it all fits with the original. Those delays never really mattered to begin with. What matters is that you can finally get your well deserved rest, because 4 years of working on this film non-stop is beyond enough. If you’re planning on temporarily quitting RU-vid after this, who can blame you? You, along with Rob, Jacob and everyone else are an inspiration to us all, and I wish you guys the biggest amount of luck for your future projects.
Where do I even begin. This movie is outstanding, in 4 years and with, I think, a very limited budget you managed to create an amazing piece of media. It's 3 hours long but it never feels boring, slow or uniteresting, and the fact you weren't limited by a company you could tell the story at your pace. Even if it's a parody the original ideas you put in it really feel natural and not forced, the D10 backstory is the perfect example. The jokes and visual gags are hilarious and over the top just the way I like it. But you also managed to put some realistic drama and serious moments bringing this movie to the level of Mel Brooks' work. The amount of passion you put into this movie is incredible and it really shows through the entire film, sure you can find some mistakes, goofs and other stuff but the heart is all here and that's all that matters. This is not a simple fan movie this is and will be for many generations THE fan movie
Diesel 10’s story arc (not to mention the badass backstory) in this version feels so much more natural than having him appear out of nowhere with “DiEsEl TeN iS bAcK”
In my headcanon diesel 10 in fact arrived in sodor before magic railroad events he arrived in 1939 during ww2 and he was destroying everything on the railway which leads to him meets lady that was being controlled by pt and burnett on a fight When diesel 10 returns thomas questions about who is diesel 10 and research abouy him on a library to find out who is lady and diesel 10 and why he wants to destroy her

This is one Thomas Film that was definitely well worth the wait! Props to you and the entire film crew for bringing this magnificent movie to the world!
A huge thank you to Vinnie and everyone who was involved in making and editing this movie! And thank you for all the time, effort, and hard work you've put into it Vinnie ❤️ you deserve a overdue rest
Rob, I would love to thank you for being such a wonderful inspiration in the Thomas fandom. I remember watching your videos when I was a child around 2011 and being blown away by the sets you created. In short, I hope you and Roy Wilson have a positive future with track to brick. :)
Wow, this was a million times better than I imagined it to be. Randomly appeared on my recommendations and I decided to give it a look. I’m so glad I did! Literally better than the actual movie, while also being a parody.
I like how you actually gave Diesel 10 a proper backstory and character arc, actually included Boomer, and had Mr. Conductor and Junior join for the chase scene. Though, I wasn't the biggest fan of Patch's new direction, despite the comic relief he did bring. Having Lady smoke a blunt was soooo funny lmao. And the George subplot was an addition I didn't know I needed. One Day More but with Thomas was something I never thought I'd hear in my entire life 😭 overall, this was a blast. Really gave me lots of nostalgia from my childhood when I used to love Thomas and Friends and this movie.
Having recently taken the time to watch both The Producers and Les Misérables, I truly applaud both of the parodies. I didn’t even recognise them until I watched the originals. The fact that two incredible musical theatre pieces were used in this amazes me. Well done
I’ve been huge fans of both for years, and I cannot even begin to express my pure shock and delight at the opening notes of each parody. The way I laughed at myself thinking that the scene setup reminded me of I Want to Be a Producer, to actually hearing the first line of it- oh man, my jaw dropped because it’s not something most people I think in this fandom would automatically recognize 😂 And of course, as a huge Les Mis fan as well, I was about dead that they executed a spoof on it as well as they did
this is literally insane the fact this recreation of this niche kids film exists is beyond me, and weirdly fleshes out characters as an editor i think it could use a trimming down, especially at the runtime it's at. BUT it's undeniably a unique and special passion project, so mad props.
Yeah. I getcha. It's definitely corny, and wraps up pretty weirdly, but...I mean...so did the original. As a product made purely for the fans, though, it's amazing. I'm sure if they'd wanted to make a proper movie with pacing and such they could. I have faith in them.
I'll be honest, never really that interested in Thomas the Tank Engine as a kid, but this right here. This is one of the most creative, funny pieces of work I've seen in a long while. Enjoyed every minute of it!
WOAH! I mean woah. This was a trip, and a great one at that (no pun intended). For a TATMR parody, it was more than that. It was like an actual movie with loads of passion and heart put into it. Way more than the actual TATMR (including the workprint version). All else I can really say here is... amazing job. Just, amazing job to you and the others behind it!
Just using the wooden engines alone, it’s like you took EVERYONES original wooden railway layouts, put them together to make a dream layout we all wish we could have made in our living rooms! Plus you got the ORIGINAL SCHEMER? You mad lad! I don’t know how you did it, but I think this is what the real Magic Railroad movie should have been! This is amazing! This is just pure, enjoyable! Also I love how the wooden engines still had chips in the paint, meaning those engines have been played with so much over time! Loved! Yeah, you know what? This movie can bring the Thomas fandom closer together! Well done! Well done! Get in there!
Well done Vinnie. This movie was well-worth the long wait. This movie was just simply breath taking. The amount of effort and work you put into this really is phenomenal. This movie certainly does get a 10/10 rating for me.
This was an absolute fricking blast to watch. The plot, the animation, the references to previous fan works (my favorite being the reference to The Unlucky Tug's "Unanswerable Thomas Questions" video at 2:41:41), and overall execution is hands down fantastic. And add to the fact that they used the SAME VIADUCT that was used in the original film just adds to the sheer brilliance that this film is. Tremendous work, as always. (click "READ MORE" for spoilers) and the fact that you got *BRIAN O' CONNER* as Schemer is absolutely legendary. Just... *yes.*
This movie might have been delayed severely by several months BUT WHO EVEN CARES I CAN’T WAIT TO SEE THIS AT LONG LAST. Also your 10th channel anniversary is coming up on September 13th, so this is almost a celebration for that as well in a sense. If you are reading this, go to sleep, you’ve earned it.
the scene when he says "I'm not the monster, you are" made me cry and I loved the way pinchy move and spoke to him, it was spine chilling but emotional.
It amazes me just how much fans of the series can do if they all work together. It's been a long, tough mountain to climb but at last the gold dust has been found. Fantastic job to everyone involved.
My mom knew I was scared of diesel 10 as a kid, so whenever I broke something in the house, she'd chase me with her grabby hand saying "I'm gonna get you Thomas". No wonder I'm so messed up
This is THE Fan-Made Thomas Parody This is THE Fan-Made Thomas Movie This is THE BEST Fan-Made Thomas Content I have seen in a very long time Wonderful job on this parody! Definitely worth the wait!
I was a HUGE Thomas fan growing up in the '90s. I was 8 years old when I saw the actual movie in theaters. 22 years later I see this as an adult and I loved every minute of it. 100x better than the original. This is the version of the movie we all needed as adults, its truly a masterpiece. And what a big surprise at the very end to anyone who saw Shining Time on PBS in the '90s!
I spent three hours watching this last night but I do not regret a moment of it, love what was done here even if it was a bit of a literal fever dream.
This was one of the funniest damn things I’ve ever watched. The casting was perfect, especially Patch, C Jr., and Mr. C. As a Mel Brooks, The “I wanna be a Controller” was perfect. You had Schemer!!!! I look forward to the sequel TATMR2: The Search for More Money or TATMR2: Day of the Miller.
I don’t like posting cliche comments like this, but no matter what flaws there are it’s not enough to ignore the passion, time and effort put into this. I am thoroughly impressed. 10x better then the original film. Most the actors were amazing, especially Rob. The production values were incredible, and I can really tell you went all out for this film. Take a nice long ass break. You’ve earned it. I hope this film gets the attention it deserves. P.s. loved the schemer but with Brian o’conner at the end. Nice touch.
Nicky, I just want to say how proud I am of you for completing this film. To do this all on your own is something that you should take immense pride in. I am very happy with how this all turned out. You faced a lot of complications and delays over the course of this film such as the film still being incomplete during the summer of 2019, being pushed back further into August, and the loss of your cat. Just like how Rob was an inspiration to many wooden railway reviewers, you can inspire others to make their own independent films. You certainly have done the same to me. After watching this grand endeavor of cinematography, music composition, and production quality, I want to do something to become just as well known as your work and others' in this fanbase. I hope you go on to do great things with your life. You have inspired me so much. Thank you, Nicky.
I watched this movie for the first time at a friends house. They had a projector and fresh popcorn, so it was like a cinema, and HOLY COW this thing is hilarious! I nearly died laughing when I saw this for the first time! All of the hard work is very impressive, and it just goes to show, you can do anything with wooden railway trains! I take lots of inspiration on everyone’s work here! Very well done! Well done! 👏
I think it’s sad and somewhat tragic that this explicit video is hidden deep within Modern RU-vid’s algorithm and doesn’t have millions of views. RU-vid has changed so much over the years and I don’t know if it’s for the better. I’d never believe that videos with profanity, adult humour, violence, blood, piss and drugs would still be acceptable on the RU-vid of today. You did a fantastic job taking a nostalgic cinematic train wreck and reincarnated it into an R rated masterpiece. Forget Endgame, this should be the highest grossing movie of all time. Also, I can’t wait for the day when RU-vid shuts down forever...
What a phenomenal show! Everyone’s part in this project, no matter how small or big, has certainly made this film a keeper to stack next to my shelf of best fandom projects. ^_^ Vinnie, you, your family, friends and co-workers should be proud of yourselves for I laughed and smiled at the amazing effects, jokes and storyline. You deserve a break after that hard work so here’s a pat on the back! 10/10 for devious deeds, but mostly for the creative hilarious fun you shared us. Way to go!!
when percy talked about being brave, i expected gator to roll up, followed by percy saying, "fuck off, wrong movie." all jokes aside, this is brilliant.
This has been very enjoyable to watch and there were some moments where you take a scene from the movie and make a very clever joke out of it. Like 1:10:05 for an example
I swear, the amount of dedication you guys put into this parody is too amazing for words. I loved how you gave Diesel 10 a background explaining Pinchy's creation, I love how intense that confrontation between James and Diesel 10 was, I was legit at the edge of my seat during that scene, and the part near the end with Lady and the gold dust had me dying! The delays really helped this movie become the best it could be, and I believe you deserve more subscribers (and a well earned rest) for all the hard work you put into this. The other people who worked on/performed in this deserve tons of credit too! A true example of what this fandom can do.
This was definitely worth the wait. The Effects, the scenery, everything was on point. But the best part was the way it brought our community together. Thank you Vinnie. Now you deserve a rest. You, and the entire crew have earned it. #LonglivetheBoomerScooter
Lucky me, that time's perfect for me to see the premiere! SPOILERS BELOW, CLICK "READ MORE" AT YOUR OWN RISK! I never cared about the delays. But Brian O'Connor at the end was worth every second. I mean, seriously, I thought he was dead. What a great actor!
Talk about worth the wait. This was brilliant, it felt like an actual movie and not just a parody. The bigger surprises were definitely what the G T logo stood for and the post credits scene. One part even reminded me of Spider Man 2. My only grips with this is that some of the jokes seen in the parts are taken out here. Scenes like the bit with Cranky where we first see Splodge and the coal hopper were taken out and the really useful engine musical number is cut down. Or rather, constantly cut between Mr C and D10. But then again they would have made this run way too long and drag on for a bit. Overall: I really enjoyed this. Very well done to everyone who worked on this.
This is the greatest thing to ever come out of the fandom. All the hard work and sleepless nights truly paid off. I'm not sure if anything will ever top this masterpiece . Well done.
My brother came up to me about 2 hours and 30 minutes in and asking if I was still watching that fan movie. I told him yes. He said I was an idiot. He was and is wrong! This was absolutely amazing! Words can't even describe how awesome, amazing, and brilliant this was! Vinnie, Rob, and Jacob, this was spectacular! I love how you guys gave Diesel 10 a backstory! You actually made a remake (Parody) of a movie that is way better than the original! And that end bit! IT BLEW MY F*CKIN MIND! I won't say what it was in case anyone reading this hasn't fully watched the Parody. This was well worth the wait you three. You have all gained my respect. You guys are amazing! There is so much I want to say here but have no words!
