In case you all are wondering, the show figures seen around the beginning of the video, were used for a new batch of episodes that premiered in France from 1989-1990 (some, if not all, of which were translated in English by Nigel Planer). Also, they say that the show was popular in every country, but now, any dub of the original series existing outside of French and English UK (apart from the Netherlands, Portugal, Germany, Italy, and the American dub for Pinwheel on Nickelodeon) is currently unknown... Nevertheless, it's too bad that we will probably never see a proper DVD release of the complete original series (that is, if Sophie or Emma Thompson don't support the idea as well)...
@@tppercival5295 I even started a Lost Media article for anyone who's interested: lostmediawiki.com/The_Magic_Roundabout_(partially_found_French_stop-motion_animated_series;_1963-1990)
Coperfield Productions, I’m not talking about France, I’m talking about a U.K. Blu Ray release with all of its Bonus features included from the 2005 2 Disc DVD.
Also, I made a Lost Media article, if anyone is interested in recovering recordings of lost episodes outside of the VHS releases: lostmediawiki.com/The_Magic_Roundabout_(partially_found_French_stop-motion_animated_series;_1963-1990)
And TP I know someone will find an exhibit with the original magic roundabout stop motion puppets in France or anywhere in the world I just hope that someone will find an exhibit or a place that can keep the magic roundabout stop motion puppets safe
Finally, I have this DVD myself, and I could see if I could possibly upload the French versions of the selected classic episodes (the series premiere episode, oddly doesn't have its French dub, but it's already uploaded here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wc0Fz852UUU.html).
As a kid I found the Eric Thompsoned Magic Roundabout deadly boring I wish we had had the original French version with English subtitles. It would have helped my French vocab as well as being more entertaining.
