This vibrant animation celebrating children's creativity and spirit was developed through a series of children's art workshops and storytelling workshops with pensioners from the Latin American community in South London. Animated by Litza Jansz and Souli Spiropoulou with additional animation by Samir Rahman. Sound design by Simon Rogers.
Professionally animated and set against an original joyful and evocative musical score, the film tells the story of how Juanchita, a farmer's daughter, finds friendship, freedom and adventure thanks to her friends the birds and a magic scarecrow.
This is a story about the importance of allowing children's spirit and imagination to fly and a celebration of the magic of nature.
