The Magical + Metaphysical Properties of Silver 

I’ve never heard anyone describe the properties of silver like you have, and it sure explained to me why I love this metal so much. It also helps that lots of pretty jewelry out there in the world is made better with a proper 9 to 5 stamp on it but now I can think of all of the exotic properties of the metal as a way to enhance how I enjoy wearing it.

I am so happy I found this video after purchasing a silver pendant and chain. 💐 I have even more appreciation for it.

Some may find this interesting. Pure silver (99.999%) never tarnishes. It is a soft metal that can be scratched with your fingernail. Because of the softness and malleability of pure silver, its typically alloyed (mixed with another molten metal to enhance charactaristics) with copper. This is why sterling silver is marked 925 (92.5% silver, 7.5% copper typically) the copper in sterling silver gives it strength, but causes it to tarnish (turn black or dull its argent sheen). Most of the worlds silver is found in the ocean. The crust of the earths surface has a brine like solution, that when it comes in contact with salt water, it causes silver to fall out of solution. Its typically found with gold, ruby, quartz or lead. Silver was once more precious than gold because of the extraction techniques used in antiquity, before egyptians found a better way to extract it. Silver is the only "noble" metal to alloy with gold. Gold and silver can be found in a natural state of conjunction, as an alloy called electrum (part silver, part gold). Its fascincating how most of it is found in the ocean, because the moon is associated with silver... and the moon affects the oceans tides. Silver has the best thermal and electric conductivity of any metal. Its also antimocrobial and antibacterial. Silver has been associated with feminine dieties and the moon for a long time. Diana, Artemis, isis, inana, thoth, and many more dieties have been associated with the moon and thereby silver. Mirrors used to be made from polished silver, which is likely why witches use round (full moon) mirrors for scrying and ritual. Great video love the content!

Yes, the Moon metal is the most electrically conductive, like gold, both embody the energy of the Moon which is electro magnetic in its ethereal translucent nature and the Sun is likewise.
