This is my favorite musical number from the show. And Elliot is a wonderful Val Jean. I've always felt that Hale has the best singing voice out of the cast.
They did end? I'm from Germany and here are only the first 3 seasons translated. What I wanted to say: *that's horrible* Sorry for bad grammar, I said before, I'm from Germany.
@@LovinneLily (Spoiler alert) It was really unfair to attack them though, considering they didn't actually want to kill off Quentin; Jason Ralph wanted to leave (cos he wanted to do other stuff or something). And even then the show handled Q's death BEAUTIFULLY, in a way that was both respectful to the character, but also tied perfectly into the show's theme of subverting fantasy tropes. And then they made the entire final season about moving on from loss. Honestly, this show deserved better.
Beerbottles123 Still I think it personally ruins one of the best musical theatre songs out there, especially all the hate on Javert in the scene (I don’t understand nor laugh at those jokes they tried to make)
Cheap fantasy? :D Have you met Game of Thrones? Now that was one. Hype powered it all along. And the ending was one of the most disappointing of all time of TV history. And the book is not even ready at all... Do you want an example from that type as a real-real good one? Malazan Book of the Fallen. It's not adapted to show/movie yet. Why? Because it's much more complex and pro than GoT... GoT needed 50-80 million to be made every season. I cannot even imagine how much more it would cost... Now this one is not cheap fantasy. It's not Lord of the Rings but it's not in the same type, only the same genre. It's a social commentary of our culture as well, a comedy too, and more. I'm not saying that this is the "best fantasy ever adapted to movie/show", but it's a really good one. And the music (not just musical was in those moments) is well chosen to the actual moment of show. Btw: not bad singers being actors... It's not a perfect presentation of the song and it's making it better because the characters in the show are not singers, so in this way more real.
@JuliaPale That's only your opinion. I personally think that most of the cast has beyond amazing voices. It also has beyond the right to be acknowledged
If anything this show actually treated its musical moments with love & respect; Hollywood on the other hand is massacring musicals left, right & centre (INCLUDING Les Miz btw)
