This is as far as I go, brother :'(. Still feel the heartache whenever I heard: Just a minor mending! Whatever happens next, it'll never be the same without Q, but I look forward to it!
This is super sad. Penny seeing Quentin off. But then think, Penny will have to eventually see all of his friends off to the afterlife while he stays there...
You look at season 1 and Quentin and Penny are constantly biting their heads off, but you look at this episode and their bond has evolved to soaring heights.... It's always a painful pleasure to grief the death of a character on a tv show, props to the writers and directors for such a wonderful plot derived from the books...
@@anotherperson2627 Well I don't think so because they always did that and that's why the series felt so alive and organic, but here they did it in a less masterful way, maybe due to the cancellation 🤷🏿♂️
When I first started watching the show I found all the characters to be COMPLETELY insufferable, but man. They really force you to give a shit about everyone.
😭😭😭😭. This is the first show that has truly made me cry in sadness for the death of a character. I have No word's that can Express 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
This is arguably the greatest ending for Quentin. He was the protagonist, but the story had evolved beyond him and it was time for him to go. He was a great character, that had a beginning, a middle and an end. And this show has subverted and deconstructed every Fantasy trope in ways that would actually make Game of Thrones blush. And I can’t wait to see where The Magicians will go in S5.
@@TheMagiciansLoveX I think they did it perfectly. It tore me apart, but it was perfect. I still hope he makes cameos whether as a ghost or a spirit they only once in a while see out of the corner of their eyes. I think the writers of the show would do well to touch upon his memory occasionally.
@@Thorn99855 I agree. It made me feel. It wasn't perfect timing. Because. Whoever gets that? I only hope they continue to grieve. And not just move on.
The actor was bored and wanted to move on to other things. It wasn’t something the writers were expecting at all. They confirmed him and Alice were to become a couple if he had stayed as a series regular.
ok ok, one crazy ass theory, but it just popped in my mind. What if Penny asked the binder to put julia on the goddess path but told her otherwise so she would still feel human emotions ?
Julia's wound would never recover if Penny23 picked the "Goddess path for her." She would find out immediately what option he chose due to the excruciating pain which the Binder said could even last up to 1000 years.
@@TheMagiciansLoveX I think the pain would last only until she ascended. Her Goddess Power would be able to heal the wound. It was only because she was in a halfway state that it affected her as it did.
It’s sad that Quinten died but he did die a hero and if we go through the Greek mythology of what happens when heroes meet their death he might be in Elysium, The Greeks version of paradise where even the gods gather and drink and celebrate with the heroes. So RIP Quinten Coldwater the Shy and Noble king of timeline 40
This season made me so fucking sad but I love when they kill off a main character to because it make the show so much better because your attached to them and it’s just something you don’t really see happening so when it does it like OOF my heart.
would it be Sweet or creepy if Alice or Elliot started going by Q's sir name next season they both loved him TECHNICALLY Elliot was married to him and both have issues with their families
@@patricklyons794 Marriage is more than just a recognition by people or church, marriage is a union of two people, bound by shared experiences and love that grows with age, so while Quentin and Elliot may not have been legally recognized as married, to each other they probably were, and that is all that matters.
@@W0rkf4rt IF THEY decided they were married, then they were, in their hearts. I don't not if the Fillorians had the concept of common law marriages or not.
@@patricklyons794 I don;t either, but if you read my comment and take time to understand what it is I'm trying to say. In my eyes despite whatever the "law" of Fillorians culture and customs say, I believe that because of their shared time together and the love they have/had for each other along with the experiences they shared over the decades, that in my eyes means they were married.
They hated each other so much that in the end none of it mattered because penny will live through many lifetimes and the rest will die leaving him alone in his own personal fate of absolute loneliness, im glad he atleast acknowledged him and gave him a goodby hug showingwhat little emotion he has left before he becomes a happy zombie like everyone else in that cult
I think that the underworld ticket will come into play next season at the end I think that the quest they go one will bring Quentin back only because he confirmed he wouldn't be in season 5 dose not mean he wouldn't come back at the end for a post credit like what happened in season 3 confirming his return for season 6
Terrible ending? How can you say that. It was the best ending he could've gotten, second only to old age with a person he loves. He died, saving those he loved and the world he loved. He stopped a potentially world altering tyrant and, as bittersweet as it was, the woman who he loved but broke him. For quinten, a boy, no man, who lost himself within the world of fillory, and escaped his dreadfully painful existence within novels, was the only way he could go. He sacraficed himself like the Nobel hero fantasy novels and got to see the genuine sadness of his passing yes, but also the genuine joy and great impact he had on the people who care about it so very much
Quentin 40 is done. Quentin 23 is dead too. But still plenty of other timelines with Quentins potentially alive in them. This does not, by any means, preclude the possibility of future appearances.
they've just said its renewed, havent said whether its the last one. also i dont think they will bring Q back, although i would love to see him return as he was my favourite
Jason Ralph has left the show. He may come back in some form AFTER Season 5, but not until then, and even then, not as a regular. As far as Quentin-40, he has moved on to What Happens Next. He wont be back.
@@TheMagiciansLoveX i mean like i dont care if its spoiled for me bc its not gonna come out on netflix for a while right? but like for anyone whos gonna read any replies,, spoiler alert
@@aphroditeennis8562 December 16 on Netflix. No one knows who the Dark King is (that's for Season 5) but I'll let you figure out who the Binder is. almost there
Still didn't find the song that starts from 3:00. Shazam doesn't help, nor the regular search of the soundtrack. Does anyone found the name of the song until now?
Hello! Sorry, I don't know English, because I live in eastern Europe. It seems my comment gets deleted automatically for some reason, so this is my third attempt. Maybe, because of the link to the video in my channel. Being a big fan of this show, I made my own alternative ending to this story with explanation in the form of a pinned comment. If you find it interesting. Video and comment in another language, but I hope you have a way to translate and the video will be available in your region. Maybe, you might like the ending of the story like me
You know, I would have loved for Quentin to walk through the doorway and be reunited with his wife from the alternative timeline. But what would the Magicians do with a happy ending?
