I agree, I don't think there's anything wrong with 'showing your progress' and not revamp older areas. It has a certain charm to be able to see the difference. Good to see you back in Conifer (Slopes)!
It's really cool to see you energised in planco again; short and small park projects definitely play to your strength & are so satisfying! A generic park sounds super interesting too. Funny you mention going back to early parts of Conifer; I went back to Conifer ep 1 after finishing Surfside and it's a TRIP seeing how far the community has come in a year. I'd looove to see you try your hand at a school fete - idk if you get them there but they're like tiny carnivals inside a school's grounds, usually held in may or september, like either side of winter. Not sure that you'd want to do that much detail though, it's just one building (the school) but it's a ton of stalls and that might just be a bit too tricky with planco's scale and lack of clutter. The important thing is going where the inspiration takes you, so here's to more of that!
Really nice job on the carousel cover. I thought it was a bit big when I first saw it, but seeing it in the timelapse and seeing it occupy the space the old one used to take up changed my mind. Great job, dude.
Glad to see Conifer Slopes back. it would be good to upload the streams on youtube for us who miss live streams, plus its more vids to upload and enjoy
Happy New Year! Love watching this series, you always give me lots of inspiration! Love that carousel! Cedar Fair inspired park sounds like super fun, I'm excited for that. I'll mention Michigan's Adventure for possible inspiration. I've never actually been there, even living in Michigan. Cedar Point was always closer..lol.
I do hope when you do livestreams on Twitch that you put up VODs here on RU-vid. It's so much easier for those of us who can't make it to the livestreams to be able to go back and watch.
honestly i cant even remember the darien lake carousel, but its definitely not what i would consider "grand". seabreeze here in rochester, ny has a really nice old fashion grand carousel. its rrrrrrreally old, i mean its not actually that old because it burned down in like the 70s? and was rebuilt but the original design was from the turn of the century or maybe even the late 1800s and the "new" one is an exact replica. seabreeze also has the 3rd or 4th (cant remember) oldest wooden coaster still in operation, the jack rabbit. a really tame ride but still fun
I’ve been in my slump since like late October but you, silv, and Jonti are coming back more frequently and that’s hyping me up again. Maybe i’ll finish my Kings island project
Yeah, there's been a mini-resurgence with Magnificent Rides and the full release of Parkitect. Always great to see those other guys doing their things.
I first disliked the "shift" change to multi select as well but it's now actually a lot easier to mass select and deselect objects by dragging over them because you can now easily deselect stuff you accidentally selected... if that makes any sense to you :D
Just a quick suggestion. Rather than a large back stage area behind the Wharf, would you consider a different themed facade on the back of the building. It might be neat to start the western area there.
I figure with those restaurants/shops on the wharf, you'd need a decent backstage area for stocking. I'm not set on how the area will shape up yet, to be honest, so we'll see what happens.
I have the same thing in planco. when i stop the game crashes. And it wil take several minutes to start planet coaster then 5 min to load a game grrrr. Great episode and greetz Martin
Yay! Conifer is back!!!! Lmk if you want to park swap for the future Cedar Fair park. I really appreciate all the good things you and Mike had to say about that vibe that my park gives
Hallo, im Nederlands. Ik ben hard fan van deze map! Maar zou je dit al op de steam workshop kunnen zetten, pls? Mijn computer zal niet verder anders aan kunnen. Phase 2 dus. Pls ?
A couple people I watch on Twitch take their Twitch streams and edit it down for RU-vid, which is nice. I don't know how well that would work for a build-heavy stream, though. I do really like having the option of watching the streams later on RU-vid because I won't be able to make it to every stream and I enjoy them.
Yeah, that's one way I could do it. That was originally my plan, but then I hear other people actually just record themselves while they play and use that footage, as it tends to look better. I dunno. I'll ponder it.
I don't know what time period the new project is set, if any, but I'll add Opryland USA to the research list as well. The park had a notorious and fatally small footprint. And was pretty loose with its music theming overall.
@@overlookers Ah yes the music! This is reminding me that even in the medieval section of Wonderland, the only music played is 80s music being blasted over a (visible) loud speaker. It's awful, but I love it XD
The advance move tool really annoys me, along with the multi select which is now control and shift for some reason. I’m really hoping frontier will crack down on them.
What computer do you use that is able to run the game? If possible, could you maybe give me a link to one that I could invest so that I’m able to play Planet C again?
