i always disliked how at the end of jet set radio, dj professor k is just like "the demon isnt real and was inside goujis heart the whole time!" as if we didnt just fight a giant ass rhino on top of a spinning record in the sky. LOL. im so glad you mentioned that!! Great video as usual!!!

The insanity that was JSRF's plot is what made it awesome especially how in the end it goes full on Shonen Anime.

Yeah, the lore or the plot of the story is very confusing I always thought it is like ," stick it to the man." Kinda of way since your fighting a certain power like Goji, but it truns out to be some demon controlling Goji to take over the world. Which I can only think of it as someone who is over someone or controls a city can be over power hungery and can be greedy and turn into a demon that is all I can put it in perspective in my own eyes. Plus, some parts of the story is like missing and just comes out of nowhere like why is pots turn into a robot anthropomorph animal like why? I mean Nosie Tank made pots this way, but what is the point. Next where does the shadowy figure of Jet comes from and what is his reasoning working with Goji I mean yeah he is like a dark entity work for Goji and all that jazz, but this one entity just like yeah I am working for Gobi cool. Also, what the heck why is Jazz even captured by the Noise tank like you get some snibbits of her, but like why and where the heck did she come from and where did Coin go was Coin part of the whole Golden Rhino thing is he the enemy behind the whole story betraying Cube, Combo and leading the GGs to their doom, because he is gone missing at the end of the story. I mean I like some of the parts missing like it is very mysterious, but it does pull a bunch of questions for a lot of people, again I find it great to not knowing any of the part of the story gives that mysterious air head flavor to the whole story I would say.

Since Beat ran away from home and Zero Beat was modeled after Beat in the storyline, what if Beat’s father was Rokaku and he ran away from home because of the insanity he saw in his family. 👀

I know the whole story just people talking about jsr is so entertaining hopefully this either becomes real life or someone makes a video game again like this 🙏🏾💯☁️

Great video. It's not a sprawling RPG or anything so i get why, but not a lot of jet set videos go into the lore much beyond a quick gloss over. Though, I disagree about some opinions with the og's story. I think it's actually great that the record having powers was a hoax, one of those "poetic justice" things lol. Also just shows how mad and desperate for power a corrupt elite like Gouji is that these rumors were enough to drive him to his actions. If anything, it adds more to the villain imo. As for the giant rhino, I always just figured that was a rokaku mech or some shit and not the demon itself lol. Cause let's be real, the weapon progression of the enemies they've been pulling throughout the game absolutely makes that believable. The previous mission they got dudes with jet packs chasing you after all. Giant flying robots aren't an unbelievable reach. I just figured we were stopping Gouji BEFORE he could finish the summon (ignoring that the record was revealed incapable of that afterwards). Oh yeah and about the main cast not having much in terms of backstory aside from a few, I actually don't mind that at all. Again, this isn't an RPG or visual novel, what we get is just right for this kind of game. Especially from Sega and this era, we got Shenmue and Skies of Arcadia holding down that fort for example. And I think the characters themselves express a lot without saying much in Jet Set's case. They're definitely a case showing a character through animation and design rather than exposition.

I imagine that Combo is lying at the end of the game, so no one would search for the Devil's Contract again.

Great video, but question: some of the gameplay you showed had some places played in the daytime/nighttime, like dogenzaka hill being played at night. How do you do that?

Now watching this at the end what if beat was a sacrifice to the Rokoku gang and his dad was the leader so he found out and ran from home and wanted to destroy his dad, so the robot beats was his clones and such you know it does kinda makes sense since beat ran away from him because he was betrayed 😯🤨

when you said "Lets get into the first game" and then persona 4 music started up, it sucked a lot of energy out of me. it made me stop dancing which should never happen cuz dancing's the best

I expected these games to be like GTA but for yutes. Cuz GTA is too violent and absolutely unhinged, and that’s not the type of game I’d want to play for hours. I rly like GTA tho I’m not saying I don’t like it, but it’s just not my “default” game u know? It’s not like I pulled those expectations outta mi arse well I kinda did, but see, these dudes keep talking about themselves as “gangs”. Not “crews”, not “the homies” nahh, GANGS. GANG GANG. Blud u ain’t in no gang, all u do is skate and paint buses bruh. I thought that there was gonna be gang fights and violence, bloodz vs crips type shit, references to alcohol and drugs, etc… I expected to see mentions of how Gum is a slut or something like that, cuz the manual tells u she a nasty hoe, but there’s literally nothing about it in the game that makes u think that. For like half of my first playthru expected yo-yo to get splashed or something like that, until I realized that this isn’t that kind of game. And well in the second game something similar happens (spoiler: he gets kidnapped)) I expected the professor to be some evil mafia boss man or something like that. What’s a Jamaican guy from New York doing in Tokyo?? And why does he never leave his studio? Bro got opps? Like bruh he only listens to hiphop and talks to teens, it’s not like he selling coke or kidnapping ppl or whatever… unless he is tho?? btw where does that goofy ahh name come from? Not DJ K, not DJ PROFESSOR K… “the professor” bruh that’s 1000% a mafia name. See this is wat bothers me about jsr/f. It’s not that I’m totally against characters that r like “icons” and not “people”, but they leave u with more questions than answers. For example, the final bossbattle comes, and the guy gets shot down. And ur like, ok, lemme play with the other guy. I simply couldn’t give a shit about any of the characters cuz they’re just icons, 3d models, etc… When I play these games, I’m coming up with fantasy scenarios to make it more fun lively and realistic. And now I’m also writing a fanfic (thx for inspiring me sir) cuz I need a way to offload my thoughts and free up mind space to come up with even more scenarios. If I didn’t like playing games using my imagination, I wouldn’t have finished these games. But hey I guess that’s kinda the magic of JSR, it’s not for everyone. And don’t get me wrong, I think these games r amazing!! 9/10 for sure, but they simply aren’t “street” enough if u feel me?? Anyway sir good video and again thx for inspiring me to make a fanfic
