Using the MagThrowBag to access the canopy. Methods of setting up a climbing line for lateral movement in the tree or from tree to tree with secure life support connections.
This was a really great idea to begin with, Richard, and I'm glad to see you coming back to it. With the Target line, and without a reel, you have a really simple system here that works well and stores away easily. Great stuff!
I really like the way you describe what to do, and why to do it, and when to do it. As a new climber, I would love to see your take on when to use a MagThrowBag and when to use a Hook. Pros and Cons, especially aimed at a new climber.
There are more reasons than the following, like limb size, what you want to carry with you etc but the biggest reason to me is, one is life support the other is not.
My take on it would be exactly that, that it's not life support for the Hook! Also, size and weight on the saddle! Love this idea, if I'm a little late to the party..
Dear Richard, I have never heard of this? How slick is that.!!!!!! Wow and double wow, Are there other videos showing the other techniques that you mentioned? Jim
Brilliant Richard! Last month I played around with electro magnets and a battery to see if they might work, but the size to get enough pull, and the cost made it really impractical. Fun experimenting though. Great work on this!
Very nice idea. My job gonna be lot easier with MagThrowBag. Id love to order it on your page but....the shipping to Germany is almost the same like the MagThrowBad itself. Could you tell me what kind of magnets - adhesive force do have the magnets you use?
this could be used for rescue operations and river crossing etc . you have no idea how much you missed out on by not making this into an actual product
