Though not relevant i want to share a long gone memory through this Mahindra Mojo, Back in 2015 we four hostel room mates got placement and after getting placement we directly jumped towards our dream premium bikes, I got myself the Pulsar rs200, 1 got the Suzuki Inazuma, 1 got the RE 350, nd Vijayendra (Vijay) got this Mahindra Mojo, as said I'm not here to write my review on the bike but to thank u for making this vdo nd lighting up our crazy memories, Anyway we lost Vijay in 2020 due to Covid, ur vdo definitely recalls me the memories of his happy face with Red Black Mahindra Mojo....
You didn't go in detail about Mahindra Mojo that much because you didn't research very much about it. Well Mahindra Mojo did receive some updates over years like after some years of launch Mahindra realised that USD forks are not useful for Indian roads because they are really costly to replace and can go wrong in the horrible road conditions of india. They replaced it with beefy telescopic front forks . This happened in 2018 i guess alongside a detuned carburettor variant called UT 300 which came with a single exhaust pipe producing 24hp and 27nm torque i think plus the original mojo was christened as XT300 which also had ABS as per the safety regulations in2019 .These changes also didnt work in its favour so they brought it as Mojo BS6 in end of 2020 with reduced power figures of 26hp and 30nm torque which was same as before but power was reduced by 2,3hp . And it soldiered on till 2022 when it was finally discontinued and the whole Mahindra 2 wheeler division was laid to Rest in peace 🎉as Mahindra chose to concentrate on Classic legends completely as Mojo was literally was sold on massive discounts at the end of its lifetime. Well now onto the engine . Mojo 300cc engine was a class apart in terms of refinement and reliability. That bike's chassis could take a lot of abuse even while touring or city riding . It could do leh ladakh just like that without any problem like a ADV touring bike with its 21ltr fuel tank. Classic legends ruined that beautiful engine in Mojo while attempting to give it a retro character (vibrations like old bikes😂) and that has destroyed the Mojo's reputation indirectly for no reason as ignorant owners of Classic legends bikes would just abuse Mojo engine but the reality was Classic legends did a lot of cost cutting to cut down the production time as the demand was huge and they couldn't cope up with it. If you had researched about the bike from online forums and RU-vid forums then you would have gotten all this information easily . There's a riding community called Mojo tribe which has talked about Mojo in their blogs . Mahindra had promoted it as a Touring bike hence Mojo tribe 😅. Its a shame that Mahindra didnt promote this bike enough nor took any efforts to help the cause of dealership numbers and service centers. This bike is like a Art film which gets overshadowed by commercial masala films. 😅
Thank you for your detailed feedback; it's greatly appreciated. As you rightly mentioned, "Mojo" was an art film overshadowed by masala films. I own 3 Mojo's BS3, BS4 and UT variant. I am happy with all 3 variants, able to source parts from the Service centres, unforgettable memories with the bike for last 6 years, and have done 2Lakh+ kms on all these bikes. And will continue to use these bike for the next 10 years as these were ahead of their time ❤ #theultimatetourer
Looks killer, it should be come again in indian market, it will destroy other brand motor cycles sells because of this motorcycle design looks is very premium as compare to other brand. Who is design this motorcycle looks i dont know but i will give him a big salute, come back mojo for future❤
Mojo was a really good looking and muscular motorcycle of its time. I was not able to ride it but it was definitely a head turner. Twin exhaust was what made this even more special. Later on a BS6 variant with single exhaust and low power was also introduced but failed miserably. By then Bajaj Dominar, RE Classic 350 and KTM 390 series had already established their mark in India.
Brother ride it once on the highway.. Don't go for on paper specs.. Ride once then you will understand... The bike is boon for highway ride 100-120 kmph all day.
Bro mojo not failed when other two segment failed in same brand it will effect to high cc segment ...thats it but mojo is best exhaust performance also awesome
I owned a mojo in past, i can say it was a great machine. The thing it lagged in the initial bike i owned is ABS. Next is the lack of closer service center and parts availability. I think lack of sufficient marketing and non low initial cost led to the bike never picking up that great.
They rectified most of problems in BS6 model brother... Sufficient power for highway ride 100-120 kmph cruise all day & better handling better brakes etc..
I own mojo driven 33k kms in just 2 yrs one of the best bike one can own pblm is service but bike won't give much trouble unless you maintain the bike without much care
First of all manufactures don't approach Two people.. 1) Rally raiders 2) Youth.. companies don't take feed back from these people to prepare a good Bike. MOJO bike was ok but heavy and bulky. Even the looks were pretty bad.. like a circus built bike. As u see hero Honda with the most simple looks is ot selling all bikes bcoz of milage and So is KTM with its outstanding power and modern looks. Indian auto spends so much but sadly they fail to compete other foreign bikes or cars bcoz the final product lacks many things and pricing too high. 😢
