2nd reply! Edit: why are you guys so sensitive-? All I did was say this bc I didn't know what to say and I wanted to say smth, why so dumb? And want to argue? huh? Please just stop replying and arguing about my comment, it's ridiculous. Really stupid about it, even if some act that way doesn't mean you have to be so "angry" about it, why couldn't you just ignore what I said? That was like 1 year ago/4 months ago, I'm really that stupid pls stop replying my comment, I'm sorry if I offend you,
My grandparents used to snip their cats whiskers super short because my grandpa didn’t like how long they got because it was “unruly” and he didn’t like how they looked. I always felt so bad for their cats
@@hamishagua Thankfully whiskers don't have nerve endings and cutting them isn't painful, but it's still a horrible thing to do. ): Kitties need them to get around and learn about their environment.
as someone who has had ringworm before, it is not fun at all. I had to take ringworm cream and everything in my room needed to be washed because ringworm is very contagious within the first week or so 😔😔😭 can't imagine what it'd be like for the poor cats
Catne doesn't look like fun for both cats and people. The way it squeezed out ugh 🤢🤮 Edit: When I made this comment I never expected this one to get 1k likes. Thanks for liking y'all !!!
@@ryderthesinful Well, he was a rescue and most likely was sick before we got him but shows no signs of anything at this point and has lost any whiskers since we’ve gotten him :)
For real? It's like someone losing an eyelash. Old one falls out, a new regenerated one takes its place. It's not only common for cats to lose a whisker here and there but also expected.
I'm collecting all whiskers my cat ever lost, along with my parents. In 15 years, there are 41. I think he's healthy xD Edit: Today, 27.10.2022, he lost his 42nd whisker
My cat is a year old and has only lost two. I like to put them in the middle of his head so it sticks straight up and he looks goofy trying to see it but I've also seen some people put them in a little vase or jar.
@@idk78244 Did you count them? Of just one falls out in a few months and a New one grows you cant see it. Just like your hair. Every Day, some Fall out but you are never bald
Thank you very much for sharing this useful information, I hope it will be useful to those who read the comment. Thanks again. I hope your cat is doing well now?
Ahh yes, I too watch my cats wiskers like a hawk in order to see if he is stressed, when my kitty is asleep I also scour around the house to find wiskers laying around
Yeah it doesn't happen very often in healthy cats but even when it does, it's hard to find them sometimes because it's the size of a hair just stiffer. Cats shed their claw sheaths much more often so if you have a cat, try looking for those instead of whiskers (if you want something from your cat).
" the first is stress" meanwhile the cat: *progressively staring more and more into the dark abyss, slowly realising there is no after* " if you have moved or made cha-"
To everybody saying, "well MY cat doesn't shed whiskers!" Cats usually shed a whisker once every few months, you just don't notice it because they are literally the size of hairs, just stiffer. Some people think their cats also don't shed their claw sheaths, but cats have to or their claws would be overgrown. It's just that things these are small compared to things like snorting or wheezing that even when we do notice it, our brain dismisses it because it isn't important.
