I couldn't retire because of the economy, I'm working until it improves. I can't be sure 500 grand will sustain retirement anymore. The more I withdraw to cover expenses, the harder it will become for it to recover through compounding. It's time for a new direction

Instead of saying voting reform, go out and campaign. And most importantly, volunteer on election day to man a polling place, or scrutineer the vote. Not the only person. Perhaps the only politician. Almost every Briton I've spoken to (who is not some lefty student) has known exactly where the country was going. My dad, like so many others, knew the EU would become a political organisation back when it was first proposed as the common market and voted against it all those years ago. You can watch clips from the 60s where Britons were telling us what the result of immigration would be; they were exactly right. It goes on and on. We have had a lot of smart people who were very good at predicting what was going to happen; the problem is none of them today are involved in politics or allowed in the media.

I'm severely ill, can't stand up for a long period of time - but I'm going to drag myself to the voting station and vote reform. I detest Labour + Tories and what they've done to the country over and over and over again.

My life's been made much harder through price increases and wage freezes and I'm 46 I can't imagine how difficult your life is, I'm thinking of selling up and emigrating to a weaker economy to give my kids z chance at home ownership, that's how Fkd up this country is. Reform is my last hope.
