Did a stuartbeam engine in my teens, because it was all I could afford! My dad bought me some needle files . Had 29 years off then built an Alchin (over 12 years) Now at 71 have built A4 9F andothers. I guess life gets in the way? Enjoyable seeing wise words from other old engineers , thanks 👍

Nice little film, that. I am in to model engineering but had to sell everything to get my business off the ground. I kept all my tools and machines though as I hope to start again some day.

as a model engineer those words feel so familiar, that workshop though......so tidy.....I'd better have a day or two cleaning up mine....

Nice little film. I hope the film maker went on to be able to do more. IdeasTap seems to be genuine, not sure if it's still going. It would really, REALLY be more convincing if you got the film makers name right. Would seem as if you actually gave a dam, you know?
