Yeah . Been a fan since 1973. First was them in 1974 backing Black Sabboth and have been hooked since then. Favorite band ever. Seen them 42 times. Richie. You do rock and have injected new energy in the band since you joined them.
Thank you, George, for giving us this gift. I remember when you explained on your channel a few years back that a special project was in the works. It's great to see it come to fruition.
Hubby and I got to see you guys in Las Vegas last December. My man said then that Richie is the guy responsible for bringing BOC to new generations of fans in all media, "busts his ass" on projects, and to promote the band. He said if he ever saw him in person, he'd bow before him. I understand what he meant now (although I have always really liked Richie's projects!).
also discovered a band called BUDGIE this year, wow... both these bands were so visionary and ahead of their time... Would you guys say Budgie was an influence on the sound at some point in time? I find very interesting that both bands got through a similar series of events at the same time but happening in opposite continents
Thanks for taking the time to explain all this stuff! I'm really looking forward to getting this new CD. I love to hear all the intricacies of the behind-the-scenes work. Thanks for all the time and effort you guys put into this! BOC FOREVER!
Seen you guys last December at the Golden Nugget in Vegas. It was my fourth time, and what an awesome show! You must be using alchemy, black magic, and voodoo to sound like that after all these years. Can't wait to buy the new album.
Have to say way back in 1988 hearing out over & over again in the middle of the slightly confusing (but great !) Imaginos album totally cracked me up ....
I got to talk to Buck at a nightclub near Eglin AFB, FL during the Club Ninja tour in the fall of 1985 for a little bit before the show. We were chatting about the then new technology of digital recording and CD's.
@@vinceleone3952exactly! His snare, hi hat and cymbal work was unparalleled. He knew how to perfectly accent and add to the songs without being overbearing. Not to mention his singing (Death Valley Nights is one of my favourites)
I’m a 12 year old girl and literally am crazy about everything BÖC. They inspire me everyday and Buck has blown my mind as a beginner guitarist. He is a mastermind… Eric Bloom and his sense of humor always make me smile too, and his vocals have sent me away from every single song especially sang in, from the 70’s till now. I am so happy they are still touring, because it is a dream of mine to see my two biggest role models in person while they’re still here. Love you guys, wish I coulda been here sooner 🤘 UPDATE! I WENT AND SAW THEM FOR THE 13th BIRTHDAY AND BUCK GAVE ME TWO PICKS AND CHRIS GAVE ME 1 TOO AHHH
As a lifelong fan its been hard to watch a new guy in the band but pulling this together. Joe and Albert back in the mix wow. Thank you Richie Castellano for breathing life into my favorite band.
I refuse to believe this is their last effort. Much props to you guys for putting all this stuff together. It sounds amazing so far. That video is awesome.
Ritchie joining B.O.C. was like watching a personal fantasy come true! The way he energized EVERYTHING was a joy to behold. The caliber of 'Symbol' in the discography is testament to the power and longevity of the music past present and FUTURE.
I have followed George for a few years, Absolutely enjoying his RU-vid releases from the BOC Vault!... but now US Fans can have the final chapter with Ghost Stories! Bravo!!!
The Symbol Remains was of such incredible high quality I can't imagine a new one of that caliber could be thrown together, I do hope they are working up new material though.
Buck and Eric etc , are getting on .... i think they'll pass the torch to Richie eventually to keep the B.O.C legacy alive . The men in black , there lips are sealed .
I was amazed in 1972 when I heard Cities on Flame, and after 31 times in concert (soon to be 32, I hope), BOC "STILL" is my # 1 rock and roll band! They NEVER disappoint!!!!
Fascinating behind the scenes! So grateful to you, Richie, Steve and the rest of BOC for giving us fans another gem of past tracks. I’m glad you were able to use modern technology to bring back to life the songs yet being what they were back then! Cannot wait to get the new album!
Im actually a little teary-eyed hearing the news of a new album from BOC, cant wait! Went to see them in Connecticut 2018 on Halloween (drove all the way from the wasteland of central Pennsylvania), best concert ive been to in years! Blue Oyster Cult is the subversive best when it comes to Rock 'n Roll!... ia ia BOC fhtagn!...
Oh my gosh... No wonder why I heard a Fire of Unknown Origin vibe... they were songs from that time frame.... I cut my teeth on that album along with Some Enchanted Evening.... Love it!!!!
Great narrative and a cool opportunity to understand what goes on in the kitchen. Richie has been an incredible addition to the band for his versatility, songwriting, and supreme nerd skills. Renaissance Man!
Been a follower since the beginning. I Am overwhelmed at the prospect of this new album. Thought that would be the end with "Symbol ". Love BOC eternally!. The music of the spheres.
I have really enjoyed watching Richie work his way up through the ranks of the band, over the years. And now, he delivers such blistering guitars to the Live shows ! Although Albert, Joe, and Allen are no longer in the band, I still very much enjoy who BOC are today ! Been listening for over 50 years, and will continue to.
Great work guys . Really looking forward to the albums 'release . An unexpected treat . I'm not sure that I have heard the song ,Jungle Fever , but I do recall the same title being the B side of the Tornado's hit ,Telstar back in the early 1960's , (I think it is better than the A side ) . Produced by ,Joe Meek .
Going to see them in concert next month. 6th time I think. Saw them at an outdoor park concert couple years ago and the crowd honestly was Massive. I was stunned, tbh. So much love out there for BOC, after all these years. Love the new single!
WOW!!! This sounds SO GOOD. We fans, from the Cult's "Day 1days", so appreciate you guys, you'll never know. Cannot wait. Bring it on, and THANK YOU for this.
This should be an interesting record I definitely loved the symbol remains and am definitely a long time fan one of my personal favorites is burning for you
Awwwww haha they're doing something new and using a lot of classic material as they do it. I love the respect Richie has for Allen, whose keyboard chops were always killer. Listen to him tear it up in Flaming Telepaths, and get all that feel going in Nosferatu, Eyes on Fire, Lonely Teardrops, and way more. It's like we get to have more of that classic creative energy that a lot of us thought was lost forever. They used human intelligence and talent here too, so it's not as though they said, 'Hey ChatGPT, please use these old recordings to create an album,' and called it a finished product. Seriously amazing and much appreciated. I hope each member past and present understands how loved they are. I need to set aside time and resources to go see the next reunion show!
@@stevenmuti3570 I’m not talking about the AI demixing, I don’t have a problem with that, I meant the AI generated images, which is a technology that leeches off other artists’ work.
I don't understand why they don't give the guy on the right his name, Steven Schenck. Is that so hard to put that in your description? Considering, that's how you start the video. Introduce these guys. Common sense people!!!
This sounds totally groovy. Love that Supernatural track. Definitely going to pick up a copy. Y'all think there will ever be another studio album? I could see that not happening, and the Symbol Remains would be a fitting end to the recording career.
i can't wait to get this new release. i adore BOC, seen them live 5 times, met Danny Miranda one time in Columbus. my favorite album lyrically is Secret Treaties (the Harvester, Telepaths, Astronomy cycle is mind blowing), and production wise my favorite album is Cultosaurus Erectus, I also firmly believe Club Ninja deserves much much more love than it gets. Thank you guys so much for everything. I aslo like listening to the albums Agents of Fortune, then Fire of Unknown Origin, and then Club Ninja in that order in their entirety because maybe it's just my imagination, but those 3 albums put together seem to tell a story..
Do the band members ever see these comments? I've often wondered if Buck remembers the time back in the mid 1980s when the band came to play a concert at Six Flags in St. Louis and People's Express airlines lost his guitar. I drove him from the airport to the park that day.
Hey Richie and Steve...bang-up job on So Supernatural...Allen ...Buck...Eric...Richie... Rick..Even Albert and Joseph Bouchard are back on Ghost Stories...Nosferatu reminiscent sounds that are just great...Hopefully this isn't a parting sign..."On Tour Forever ...You Know The Routine...On Your Feet Or On Your Knees...Is What We Want.
