Much like you, cars have been the passion of my life since a youngin, and I too, have found myself burnt out on the car game and even found myself trying new things to rekindle that spark that all things automotive used to give me with little resolve. To hear your confession of your journey with "mid life crisis", all the adversities of life, poor business deals and challenges that were sent your way and to still see you pushing through it all to see your build to completion is the motivation that I needed. Thank you for your transparency, honesty, and wisdom in approaching such a heavy and personal subject for guys like us. I been building a 57 Rag going on 7 years still not painted I fucked up and fell for the sad I need money stories once it was all paid I inherited all the builders problems these painters are the worst this is a talented builder with bad money habits I feel your pain but can’t give up on the build keep it pushing
Not gonna lie i been watching you forever and was always curious on how much bread u had from how hard you hustle. This build series here is a lowkey flex man. You deff got that paper and earned every cent of it! And i must say that right hand drive idea is amazing. Ive watached alot of Japanese lowriding videos from japan and they even never tought about converting one over to rhd. Like i said you got a hell of a vision and that PAPER!😂
Powder coating is great. Done right will keep that rust in check. Like anything and everything Cali, you gotta shine brighter and loader. But it’s almost like crabs in a barrow, no matter how hard you try there’s always something holding you back. I’ve been on my 1965 mustang since I was 18. 39 now🤦🏽 From my Dad to my brothers to me, we have all worked on it. Me and my dad did body work and my bros are mechanics. Man i feel you, i was building mine the same time you were , i love all the car scenes I’m into imports, mini trucks, hot rods, but man this scene drained the fun and excitement out of the build. still not where i want it to be cause I’m having to go backwards now, i love my car but the the scene is not all backed up by people with pride, a lot of spineless people out there. Can’t wait to see your build on the road
I feel you Caliboy. Going through all the crap that comes with dealing with shops and dealing with other ppl, makes you kinda just fall out of love with the car game. I wouldn't necessarily say out of love with cars, but its just the ppl and politics that come with it. These shops will fųč* you over or give you the run around and it just gives you a bad taste in you mouth. I hope you finish the 57 and take some deserved time to enjoy it man. The direction of the car scene aint what it used to be.

Cali, it's weird how you feel what you feel with your cars now because I went through the same thing starting with modding hot wheels as a kid in the late 70s. Modifying my cars (not high but enough) through my time until I hit my 40s then it seemed like I ran into a wall with wanting to modify anything after that. Life just got to me and made customizing my cars not priority anymore. My last 2 a 13 ATS, nothing and current Caddy (23 xt4) same thing, just a life car now being in my 50s. I think i know what it is but it's not a great thing (life's lessons, relationship issues, work life, financial life, just life in general) has now just become a real bummer but holding on for dear life. My life story...🙏

I feel you bro, I just got my car back, and I’m still tuning it, broke down the other day, countless money spent, I went thru hell and back, been done dirty from several shops, got excited, then hated the game, I still do dislike the part where why can’t people be upfront and honest and dam keep their dam word like a man, if they say something be a man and stick to it, it’s not like they are doing it for free. I feel you bro it’s hard- both of my cars were out of comisión- one still is. Got discouraged to build another one, but the feeling when you do have it and drive it, the looks, the thumbs up? Is it worth the pain? It’s a personal opinion. ✌️ God bless everyone.

1 of 2: That's wussup bro much respect keep doing your thing you'll get where you wanna be, just remember it's about the journey not the destination cuz you will learn a lot along the way to where or what you have in mind that being said The day I bought my first classic cars I had asked my mentor/older brother to go with me I was excited because I had some cash saved up and I had spotted near one of my jobs a 53bellair hard top😍 and when I went to see the car it turns out there was 2 and I got a sick deal for both 🙏 Gods Grace I never thought I would be so lucky, so I stored them at my brother's house and he turned around and sold one of my ride's on me. The day I had bought the cars my brother/mentor at the time said I'm jealous but I didn't take that comment serious, I thought he was saying that cuz I had gotten such a good deal on my ride's😍 after everything happened I asked him what do I owe you for you to take from me like that? He's a car collector he showed me a lot a bout this car scene, what a disappointment but like I said in the earlier it's not always about the finish line it's about the journey you'll learn a few things a long the way but that's life people can take meny things from you but don't ever let them take your happiness from you just keep pushing G💯.
I grew up in love with building cars but depending on others to do the job you pay them to do to only be disappointed time after time after time, I lost my love for the building scene. I have one rule with cars now. If I can’t do it myself then FUCK IT ! I hope you don’t turn out the way I have. 👊🏽
