Chances is a great film with a beautiful message about forgiveness, I personally found the prayer and the gospel scene incredibly moving for the climax of the film. But as a crew member and someone who identifies with the LGBTQ+ community on set for Chances, the blatant anti-LGBT at 9:30 is unacceptable. Growing up alongside the church I've learned that God works in mysterious ways and I've learned to accept that and myself. My grandmother said, "God made Danny... Danny! We shouldn't change that." It's disappointing to see such exclusionary beliefs perpetuated in a film that otherwise promotes love and acceptance. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, I believe that everyone deserves to be treated with respect and dignity, regardless of their sexual orientation, gender identity or their beliefs. It's important for us to use our platforms, whether in the film industry or elsewhere, to promote inclusivity and understanding. I hope that in the future, films like Chances will strive to be more inclusive and welcoming to all viewers.
Hey man this is Josh I’m on my other account I really appreciate your feedback and just freely sharing your thoughts. The reason why I put that part about the LGBTQ community in the film is not to discriminate or judge people. As a believer in Christ I do not hate or discriminate against any person no matter what they believe but I have to speak the truth in love. As a believer who follows The Bible it’s a sin to live a same sex lifestyle or transgender. It’s a sin just like any other sin (lying, pornography, murder jealousy). We are all not perfect at all but we have to strive to live righteously to get to heaven and stay in union with God. I completely understand where you’re coming from and would love to talk to you more if you’re willing. Much love brother
While Chances is a wonderful film made by passionate and creative people, I strongly disagree with G Guided Production's negative views on the LGBTQ+ community and abortion. (9:31) I've grown to realize, by watching your films, that love and kindness is stronger than hate. Everyone is entitled to love and be loved however they'd like, so long as they're not hurting themselves or anything/anyone else. When it comes to abortion, you cannot make that choice on behalf of another person. I can't speak on behalf of the many women who have to deal with these tough decisions, but getting an abortion is absolutely within their own rights as a human being. Hope and faith should come from support and love for everyone. I'd hope G Guided Productions can be more accepting to all moving forwards.
Well this is a Christian channel and as a Christian we must follow God's word and we must also love one another as God loves us but we don't accept same sex marriage/relationships because it is a sin, I suggest reading the Bible so you can learn more about god
