If you are studying fashion I would like to ask a few questions because I am hoping to become a fashion student myself, how do you pay for fabric and are there and like programs or skills I should start learning before hand(besides sewing and patterning)

@@TheYellowPlatypus Hi, welcome to the fashion industry!! What I do to pay for fabrics is I work in a part-time job and I have another side job that helps me pay for my materials. I also get help from my parent if necessary. In the school I go to, they teach us the basics of sewing how to use the machines, and different terms in sewing. I only knew how to hand sew and learned a lot in school. Hope this helps!

many of my friends in class either worked a part time job/ saved up money before studying/ or like me who took a loan from the government to pay for my expenses. I also occasionally did freelancing work and collabs to pay for the fabrics because its so expensive ToT

@rociosalinas954 Thank you so much I live in a very small town and I don't know anyone who has ever studied fashion, or really anyone who loves fashion as much as I do, I have been teaching myself who to sew over the past 2 years after saving up for a sewing machine and am now making so of my own patterns that I draw up, I am 14 now and very young but I'm trying my hardest to learn as much as possible to become a great designer
