So Denzel improvised that hug with Pedro? Pedro's character looked terrified and shocked by that gesture as if he predicted that McCall was onto him. But instead guilty conscious it was genuine surprise? Brilliant.
Denzel Washington is the greatest actor on this era and probably top 3 of all time. Not only is he humble, not conceited, and wonderful family man. He has never ever carried himself as better than anyone else. He should be proud that he always puts out great movies and never disappoints
Nearly everyone is saying that Marton Csokas was brilliant as main antagonist in the 2014 movie, however I'd say Pedro Pascal is on the same level as Csokas - only it's done in a different way. In seeing the 2018 episode, even I was "surprised" when David York (Pascal) is revealed as the "Big Bad" as he's an individual who you'd least expect to be a villain because it's not obvious at first - good writing - so looking forward to seeing the 3rd episode.
I want number 3! I know this team can make this situation occur in a very believeable fashion. I have seen maybe in 2023, well I hope so. The production team on this franchise is second to none.......let alone starring an actor which is one of the best ever. Denzel works a script and a character like damn near, no other. This man is a universally liked and lauded as one of the best actors in the history of the business. Please, let Robert McCall EQUALIZE again.
One of the greatest scenes i have ever seen in Hollywood movies is the last scene of Equalizer 1. After killing the villain when Denzel leaves the building in the background people were seen lying on the ground; that symbolizes the encounter that took place before. Wow
I love seeing Denzel Washington films and the 2 Equalizer ones were superb, in my opinion. I enjoy movies, and real life situations where there's someone who kind of does swoop in a right a wrong, heal the hurting heart, bring justice to those who are deserving. For me Denzel was the perfect casting choice for the Robert McCall role and I found myself wishing I could do something special for the man who had done so much to help others however he could. Great movies. Both films!! 5 stars!
I lived in Brant Rock Marshfield Massachusetts in the house to the right of the WW2 tower. I used to launch potatoes at the people who rented it if they threw shit off near my car. One time these hippies from Vermont. Kept calling me Nomaaaaah. As in Nomar Garciaparra. We turned their car sideways between the tower and my house while drunk because they milk 💣 my car in balloons. I had invited some of my biggest friends. Don't mess with MarshVegas
They are so over-exaggerating and over complimenting Washington it's really, really cringe. It's supposed to be a behind the scenes piece but really all that it is is a self referential, self absorbed ego bath for those involved. such a shame.
I kind of found it even better than the first one because of the loss and betrayal which are at the core of the sequel… It made the story much more personal. I can relate to that even more than the first one…
