Here Billie sings another song that would be added to her repertoire in the 1950's, "Please Don't Talk About Me When I'm Gone". The first take is missing, but the second take exists.
Does anyone know why Velvet Mood (the jacket/cover) has someone else's face on it? Same with Solitude. You'd think they'd just use "Billie Holiday" if they couldn't agree on an image.
In the 1950's and 60's, many record companies issued albums by black artists with white female models or couples on them (look at Dinah Washington and Nat King Cole covers) because the lp's would sell better in white record stores!
