I think it was stated that Philip was involved in the design of OTH radar during WWII. I am unaware of this, but believe that he did the mathematics behind the design of the H2S radar antenna. He is also responsible for much of theory behind probability of detection in that field, I gather.

What sort of mode was your version of the W5 clock operating in if you got the pendulums to synchronise? The whole idea of the clock is that the two pendulums are meant to stay out of synchronisation with each other so as not to enter into resonance.

I was unable to hear the audio but was really impressed with using a small steam engine to run your watchmaker's lathe!
