Many forget of this left-hander who once dominated football in his prime. His athletic nature and quick release struck fear into opposing teams. He is a forgotten legend.
Thank you. It was fun to put this video together: I have always felt like he doesn’t get the credit he deserves. Thanks for the comment and thank you for watching.
Underrated player. It was incredible watching the Jags growing up. He’s doing an incredible job with coaching Goff in Detroit right now. He got the most out of guys around him and was a true leader. I’ll always be grateful for the opportunity to watch him take us to the playoffs annually.
I agree, I think he has been an excellent coach and was a fantastic player. Maybe one day he will be elevated from just being the quarterbacks coach, but time will tell.
@beauboone5332 he had 2 Cinderella stories in 1 career. His first was the greatest show on turf. Going from a nobody to a 2 time mvp and super bowl champ. After 2002, he was irrelevant, and the rams cut bait in 04. Then, in 2008, he led the 4th seeded arizona cardinals to the Super Bowl. You can't script this stuff, bro
He was a pretty solid quarterback, I even think he should have been a pro bowler in 2005 with the Redskins. He was 35 then, so his success wasn’t exactly short. I think injuries as well as poor coaching decisions kept him from being groundbreaking. Thanks for watching.
Was always happy for him to get his ring with the Saints - even though he was only a holder on kicks by that time as Brees' backup in New Orleans it was a nice sort of "lifetime achievement" award for the longtime solid QB.
Hey! Just stumbled on your channel. Love the research you do! I don't know the best way to contact you, but I have something that you might be interested in going forward!
@@mrmercedes8528 : if you are a Jacksonville Fan, there is a Legacy. It’s all good homie, every Dog has its Day. Same thing make you Laugh, makes you Cry. Before most modern Dynasties were Dynasties they had Losing Seasons. IE the New England Patriots. They used to be Paper Bag Heads until it turned around. @@OnlyBuilt4FinancialContracts ……. So I’m an over all synopsis: there is ZERO legacy in Jacksonville:: just fans pretending there is one Legacy is built up over time …… with next No accomplishments…… we’ll you are left empty handed
Marino was being recruited heavily by the Vikings for the 2000 season. He didn't bite. Instead, Daunte Culpepper leads the Vikings to the NFC championship that year.
I know you pegged the 1998 Jets as the best team to never make a Super Bowl. I always thought the 1999 Jaguars were. Crazy they went 15-3 with their only losses to one team. Division rivals, the Titans.
The current deteoit lions are worth watching. Dan Campbell isn't a guy people wanna follow. He's someone people want to join. Mark brunell is also helping with the resurgence in detroit
@beauboone5332 Both teams have terrible defensive units. The lions in my eyes have a better offense. They have a surging jamal williams in the backfield, and when he's not running, they have a solid #2 in d'andre swift. Maybe the modern version of thurman thomas and kenneth davis
@@astrostar49 ….. and ? That has to do with Brunell beating the 83 draft class in the playoffs while they were all at the end of their careers- considering the fact he didn’t even make it to the SB ……
Marino was planning to retire anyway. No one "forced" him into retirement. Had you done 10 mins of research, you would know that. But hey, this is 2023 so I expect nothing different. The MSM does it, so why not, right?
Being that I put this video together, I can assure you that I did my research. If you watch the video it is pretty clear. Thanks for the comment and thank you for watching.
@@beauboone5332….. well correct- Marino was retiring…… Miami was mediocre on offense & Dan was a shell of himself at the end. It was absolutely a Murphy Law game - sprinklers and all
