People don’t realize these are all captive bred he looks like one of the best keepers so stop feeling bad not for him they would be in worse keeping if not for him
Hello mate. I raised 2 spectacled caimans which my first caiman was purchased way back in 1983 in a pet store inside a mall; the Ocean County Mall in NJ, i'D say it grew to 2 1/2 feet lopng before it sadly died. I was 14 years old and didn't have the knowledge or experience in dealing with caimans, however, I thought they were adorable and I loved them. My second spectacled caiman grew larger - just under 5 feet. I had a 180 gal fish tank aquarium for it's enclousure. Started them with goldfish - to mice- to meat from the market. I took good care of it with the filtration, heaters, lights , land, etc.
this was 8 year ago, the Crocodile Zoo it has become today is one of the best facilities for education and breeding of these amazing creatures Ive ever seen. All from such humble beginnings and an undying passion , One of the highlights of a recent trip to the UK
Really enjoyed his narration and the passion he has for these animals shines through. I admire the amount of funding he has raised to realise his dream. I have now gone out and bought a book on crocs as I have an interest in learning more about these creatures and the conservation work being undertaken. It is amazing to see a young boy's dream progress into a zoo and conservation programme.
To all of you saying the enclosures are too small, this man (his name is Shaun Foggett) is the founder of Crocodiles Of The World, and this video was recorded a year before the zoo was founded, those crocs are living the best lives at COTW.
That's why I love dwarf camons they look like a dog begging when they are upright . Do you sell.and ship the west African dwarf crocadilains?? Would lovebto have a breeding pair here in the states .
@@zooafricaine8025 mabye you ar better of dead than living like this, they are all in big zoo enclosures now, if it wernt for this box so many species wouldnt have been bred and live in nice open spaces
I must agree im from Australia so we no a fair bit when it comes to crocodilians those cages look to small! In Australia you have to have a pen of large proportions around 6meters by 6meters!!! Those cages are extremely small! Im sure he loves and cares for the crocs i just think they need a little more room to feel like they are free and still wild as they are wild animals!! Great to see someone who cares for the future of those crocs and he is doing great work to help the species!! Maybe the camera made the enclosures look smaller than they really are!! No judgment here just an opinion!!
EI think the dwarf caimans have a decent sized enclosure but all the others I think don’t have enough space I because of their size. If you disagree just tell me you’re reason because I plan on getting a Cuvier dwarf caiman and have a 4meter X 4meter enclosure for it. I’d get whichever gender grows the smallest. If you think that is truly inhuman please tell me because I truly love croccodillians.
oh shut up, you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. do you own crocodiles?? don't think so, this man raised these and as he said in the video he wants to open a conservation facility which he did and all of his animals now live in big enclosures. how dare you say its torture, he is saving multiple species from extinction.
@@superioracepilot6005 your a fuck up😑 have no business defending this bullshit. They are the largest species of reptiles in the world and in a tiny fucking cage man up and stop defending animal abusers. This is a form of abuse fucktard
@@tto1910 You couldn’t be more wrong. All of his animals are healthy, have you seen his new facility?? They live the best possible life and have the best possible care they could have. You are extremely rude and ignorant. Not everything that you don’t understand is wrong or animal abuse. I do not support animal abuse and I know the line between right and wrong and this is nothing but right. He has devoted his entire life to saving these beautiful creatures, he doesn’t need you shitting on him. Grow up smh
@@superioracepilot6005 doesn’t matter the problem with all these “RU-vid” people is they all have tons of animals they should not have. Doesn’t matter if they have a “decent cage” they should not be in a cage to begin with and these people make it seem ok to have anything in a cage.... putting it out to thousands of people making them think oh let me go get a monkey or a crocodile. Uhh Noo
@@tto1910 everyone knows crocodiles aren’t for everyone and in most countries you need 1 or multiple permits to even own one. What people like him do is educating people and conserving endangered species who can’t survive in the wild. Without the help of people like him and many others, a lot of species would already have gone extinct but that’s okay according to you. And even besides just conservation and education I’m 99% sure these animals have a better life in there then they would in wild where they are likely to die of disease or get killed while growing up by a bird or something. Instead of shitting on other people maybe educate urself a little and come back later, I get you don’t want animals to get hurt but this accusation is just false and you have nothing to base it on
You inkom slaries From president Krokodil vlees en meer Style Awards kunnen zelf bepalen More good gedrag en More Money inkom slaries aardig teken Al studenten krokodil bedoel
i know there endangered and i no hes trying to do the right thing but still no reason for it to be in a glass box with a tiny bit of water no animal should be in a cage or glass box simple iff ya dont have plenty of space the jobs not right tigers and other animals in zoos same thing its sort of vice verser kind to be cruel and not seeing the picture just my opinion
I wish I could lock this guy in a small box so he could feel the pain he causes to his animals. You need to get a better enclosure or find another responsible owner asap or humanely euthanize those crocs.
