Din just fell off the underwater ledge and then dropped like a stone because of his heavy armor. He didn't have his jetpack so he had no way of fighting gravity. The mythosaur was just hanging out and probably wondering what Bo's jetpack was all about when she was heading back up to the surface. It made no move to attack them and moved off after checking them out.
I don't think that's why he loses consciousness and falls. Are these waters really nothing special as Bokatan says? We will know in the following episodes for sure.
I think the same, maybe Bo didn't warn him because the bottom of the lake was shallower and the bombardment made it cave in, revealing the cave where the Mythosaur was slumbering
The songs of eons past foretold of the Mythosaur rising up to herald a new age of Mandalore , the Mythosaur potentially awoke from hibernation due to it sensing the “true ruler of Mandalore” appearing in the living waters
Also, the mythosaur just drag Din underwater but it's clearly seems that it didn't mean any harm. The creature just chilling down there. So what if it can be symbolized as mythosaur "choosing" Din to be the worthy ruler of mandalore?
@@wildnate02 I think it recognizes the wielder of the dark saber as the true Mandalore. Mandalore the Great had it and tamed the beast. Though that depends on this Mythosaur being the same as the one Mandalore tamed. It was insanely massive so it must be ancient. It could be.
@@DazHotep6EQUJ5 That’s probably true. However, I like the idea of both Bo and Din sharing the throne and ruling Mandalore as co-rulers. Not in a marriage sort of way but as a way to unite both factions of Mandalorians.
This may be my most favorite episode of Mandalorian thus far. I feel like Bo Katan is having her faith restored while watching Din go through his ritual. He's healing her while she's helping him heal himself.
The Darksaber isn't the Elder Wand, there's no power to be earned by combat. But to lead Mandalorians you have to prove your worthiness, and the Darksaber is a symbol of that. People lost faith in Bo Katan and she needs to prove herself again, and defeating Gideon was her chance. So she just needs to find another way to prove herself, and what better way than taming the freaking Mythosaur
That creepy Cyborg really reminds me of the Necromonger 'Lensor' from Chronicles of Riddick (the first Pitch Black sequel, strangely Katie Sackoff is in the second one).
My thoughts exactly. he will tame the mythosaur like he has all the other beasts. Mando and Bo will watch over him and be his guardian until he matures.
In case you didn't notice, Din struggled using the Dark saber against the Alamites, but Bo had no problem using it. The Dark saber is ancient and it holds an even more ancient kybur crystal, which is semi sentient. Initially, Kybur crystals choose their wielder, once they are in a saber they don't have that option, but they can choose to help or hinder the one using them. That saber fought against both Din and Per Vizsla, but it welcomed Bo and she just went to town with it. The Dark saber has accepted her, not Din and neither of them know that yet.
I was thinking of you two when I was watching the episode. I always love seeing Sonny turn into a kid while watching. It's so cute. I love Kat's intelligent comments. So great you guys. And for me the standout of this episode was definitely Katee Sackhoff and of course, Grogu who has been very chatty in this episode. Loved it. Sending love and hugs to you all including baby and Grandpa. Can't wait for "The Last of Us" finale. Thanks for always being great. 🙏💖
Great reaction, Kat and Sonny. A new family, holding Grogu, while a newborn is somewhere else in the home...watching another new family starting in The Mandoverse. Well, The Armorer spoke of the return of The Mythosaur heralding a new age of Mandalore, along with a new Mand'alor Ruler. Now, We have a future (possible) Second Mandalorian Jedi Warrior, a surviving member of The Mandalorian Royal Family, and a Foundling/Child Of The Watch, who has won The Darksaber in combat against an enemy who destroyed Mandalore, over a decade ago. As George "The Maker" Lucas would say, "It's like poetry...it rhymes..." Take care, you 2. And, May The Force Be With You... (wait, did I just unintentionally quote Luke from the end of TESB?)
Such a fun reaction. Grogu gets cuter in every episode! Mando still struggles so much with the Dark Saber but Bo-Katan handled it much better. It is almost like the Dark Saber is fighting Mando because it really wants to belong to someone else even though he won it in combat? I really think Bo-Katan would be a great leader for her people. Great hoodie Sonny!
This was explained in Rebels by Kanan. Your thoughts are connected with the crystal. The dark saber gets heavier when you are conflicted with yourself. Din doesn’t want the dark saber nor becoming the ruler of Mandalore. While Bo is kinda confident about that. Also she probably trained fighting with it in the short period of time where she was the owner
“Imagine seeing this on the big screen” that’s exactly how i feel. As much as I’m enjoying what’s been coming out, particularly Andor, being on Disney Plus as a series just doesn’t have the same impact as if these projects were feature length films. Regardless, I can’t wait for what they have in store for us because I thought all of this would be at the end!
Hahahaha, this episode was AMAZING! From creepy to sad to pulse-pounding awesomeness, it was fantastic. As was your reactions, as ever. Sonny’s giddiness and Kat’s caution (and of course the ever present love for Grogu) just had me smiling all the way through. And oh yeah, Din totally just fell in. Turns out wearing full beskar armour when going swimming is a bad idea, who knew?
No one would believe her since Din offer it to her before. Any Mandalorian would refuse to believe cause of Bo history. They demand a duel match in front of everyone. Mandalorians love to see a good fight anyways.
That's not how it works. One only loses ownership of the saber when one is defeated in a direct duel. Being caught in a trap and having your weapons stripped from you doesn't count.
This show is so much fun. It’s funny that Obi-Wan and Bobba Fett were the shows I wanted sooo bad and I’ll Mandalorian and Andor over those any day. Star Wars has been saved by characters we have no nostalgia for. It’s the world the universe we love so much because it takes us all back to the moment we first saw those little blue letters come up on the screen. At Lightspeed we fly away across the stars. To a time that once was. In a place a long way off. What could be more magical than a lightsaber? Who could be more awe inspiring than a Jedi? Thank god for Andor. Thank the stars for Mandalorian.
Those Animites? remind me of Morlocks, creatures from the classic book The Time Machine and probably live the same way. The show is gettung very interesting.
@@accidentcellar6307 He was dumb because he walked into a Trap that was not detectable with the naked eye, on a Planet that's supposed to be dead? Or dropping into what was supposed to be shallow Water, but turns out the bombing made the ground cave in. Which no one could've known? Please explain where exactly the stupidity lies
This was the first episode where I could see Bo and Din as friends. Up until now Bo has been pretty standoffish and with the ending of season 2 I thought they'd be enemies because she wants the saber. Now I think he's helped her reaffirm her beliefs and I could see Din helping her reclaim and rebuild Mandalore.
ALL HAIL BO-KATAN, THE TRUE QUEEN OF MANDALORE!!!! Honestly she has both earned and *deserves* the Darksaber. Besides Moff Gideon she is the only character (in live action so far) that can wield that blade effortlessly. And she has respect for the creed while also seeing that the creed needs to be updated or even renewed. Also while Din Djarin is absolutely faithful to the creed he does not want to be its leader, which is why the creed needs to change so that when he gives her the Darksaber every Mandalorian in the galaxy will recognize her as the true ruler of their people. And I never thought I would actually get to see the Mythosaur in Star Wars, now I can see why the Mandalorians made its skull their sigil. Also Grogu was somehow equal as cool as he was insanely adorable in this episode. Also happy to see that Kat and Sonny finally showed us their baby.😂
I love her but she failed several times, so I vote for Mand'alor Sabine Wren but even if we know she's coming in Ahsoka series, I'm still thinking they go for the Mand'alor Din Djarin route.
shes a f'n horrible character and inconsistent,. she constanly makes excuses for her failures gaslights others plays both sides. and never stands for her beliefs. she might be the worst written character in starwars by a mile .
Well... Bo always thought about the myth of Mandalore The Great actually tamed a beast like the Mythosaur was all bullshit and just an entertaining story. When she saved Din from the depth of The Living Waters, and seeing such a creature.... you can see how shocked she is. I am not going to speculate what is going forward, but that... combined with realizing how much Din believes in this myth, and she now have seen the creature for real, might change her stance on the Mandalorian tribe called "Children Of The Watch", which Din originates from. All this said... I am so much looking forward to the next episode!!!
The appearance of the Mythosaur is a bit of a miracle. Mythosaurs are considered an extinct species. This is the first to appear after several millennia.
Some species in our galaxy have been considered extinct for decades before the species have been sighted and then considered "un-extinct" again. Why not a mythosaur? Edited to add: it's not called a MYTHosaur for nothin' 😉😉😉
@@KatSonny I'm not saying he couldn't appear. I'm just saying that for Din and Bo it's the same as for us to meet a living angel who just came down from heaven.
just watched Episode 1 and 2...than decided to watch your Reactions on both..and yes they belong together..after your Vid i will continue with 3 and 4 only to come back to your Reactions !! Love you Guys...wish you all the Best !!
First episode was really good but this one was great, the look of the Mandalore and the Mythosaur at the end looked amazing :) Can't wait what happens next :)
I really think Kat was on to something with the creature. It would make sense is Mandalorians came to the planet to scout it out. They either got eaten by those trolls or drained by the cyborg. Perhaps that's why Mandalorians believed the planet was cursed. Everyone who went scouting didn't come back.
It was really late when I watched it and everyone was asleep and I almost screamed when I saw the Mythosaur LOL. The implications are MASSIVE for both Dinn and Bo! Lowkey, I think something that the Armorer didn't mention is that part of "being cleansed in the waters" is coming face to face with a Mythosaur.
except normally that doenst involve fallign several hundred feet.. Normally just stpping into the water, but with out a full beskar suit, would be tha standard.
It would be great to get a show or movie about the Mandalorian civil war, in legends it was a three sided fight with the pacifists, the True Mandalorians, and Death Watch. that war has been mentioned a few times, hopefully they will show us move about it.
Haven’t seen Sonny this hyped since Luke rescued them all and met Grogu. Easily my second favorite episode of the series this one is. I honestly hope it works out to where Din and Bo realize they have to work together to unite all the mandalorians. And I think that will come in the form of Grogu taming the mythosaur like the old legend. Then Grogu will have a Mando dad and a Mando mom. I know, way to predictable to be what happens. But that’s what I would like.
I think the Armorer knew that for Din to be redeemed in the living waters he would come face to face with the Mythosaur. What if Grogu tames the Mythosaur, Bo-Katan wielding the Dark Saber like a Champ and Dinjarin all three reignite The Mandalorians?
Even if Din dropped down in the water because of his heavy armor, he would not have fell that quickly unless something dragged him under. Bo Katan needed to use her jetpack just to reach him. If nothing pulled Din down, all she would need to do was dive in and let her armor pull her down. He took off some of his gear and his jetpack. She didn't. Wouldn't her armor be heavier?
Bo-Katan has got to be the coolest woman in all of Star Wars. Now here's my question. She grabbed the darksaber while Din was actually defeated. Can she now claim it by right? I would think that she can. I mean what if Din was dead when she got there, she'd be able to take it.
The mythasaur grabbed him. But it did not kill or hurt him. The prophesy the armorer spoke of. The rise of the mythasaur will be a new age for the Madalorin people. The mythasaur just picked the new mandalore.Sabine died. In Obi-Wans arms.
a 'good' many gripe on other channels about ~ another imperviously strong Female Character ~ *umm* precisely WH0 does Lady Sackhoff bring to life(?) *-* great discussion after the episode ~ cheers.
Crytalization of Mandalore is the some thing what happend centu res age to Tatuine and then turn to sand planet Jawas and Tuskens are original races. Tatuine was like earth oceans and Jungle. Thant you can see in Boba fett halucinations by rizard. May the force be with you. And may you lead the force. 🖐️
This episode was great. It’s good that Bo-Katan is taking a more active role. Have you noticed that Ludwig Göransson isn’t scoring the music this season? It’s similar, but different.
The dark saber isn't the elder wand... so i dont think it works like that. Sabine actual won it from from Gar Saxon after her mother and brother betrayed her and he took it... and Maul never swore the oath to the code so I'm not sure he can rule.
Sabine wren actually did duel Gar Saxon, the imperial Mandalorian leader in a rightful duel for the darksaber. Sure, it wasn't Maul, but at some point maul has been defeated by Palpatine, Ahsoka and Obi Wan (last one killing him) and none of them actually claimed the weapon. Moff Gideon , we dont know if he won it fairly off Bo Katan, so if Din winning it off him now is kinda discutable considering ownership is actually really muddied. That last person who actually won it fairly was Sabine. Imo.
I wasn't trying to make an actual argument for who's the "rightful owner" of the Darksaber, just pointing out how complicated the whole thing can seem.
I don't really think that Din Djarin was taken down by the Mythosaur, he just stepped off the Edge and dropped down to the Ground - as he didn't wear his Jet-Pack but his heavy Armor. (I think we would have seen at least a bit of the Mythosaur or more water-movement if he took Din and why would he just drop him down to the bottom? - But that's just m2c ;) ) As usual - I really enjoyed watching you two - keep it coming! Greetings from Germany...
He actually just dropped. If the Mythosaur had taken him, don't you think it would have continued? Wouldn't it have gone after Bo Katan? Din Djarin just fell off the edge of the steps and sank because of his armor.
Love this epsidode. Great seeing Kat again on the Star Wars reactions. Great reaction! I want Bo to mention Satine so bad or at least a flashback where she shows up. Just to make her fully canon. It's not like she is not but it would be great to see her in live action. I think Grogu will be the one that unites the mandalorians
Danke für das wirklich tolle Video Bo ist eine Kriegerin die beste ❤❤❤❤ Power Frau 💪💪💪💪💪💪 und sie hat DIN gerettet anstatt das Dunkelschwert zu nehmen 👍❤❤❤
I wasn't trying to make an actual argument for who is the "rightful owner" of the Darksaber, or a full accounting of who has had it when. Just pointing out how complicated the whole thing can seem.
Soooo Bo Katan has taken the bath in the holy sacrifical waters... if she takes the creed she has atoned and again follows the Way....in the eyes of the "fanatics" Which is needed if want to lead. So far there were no sign of ambition to lead and rule from Mando, but of course it might change.
The possibilities for Bo! She is the one who can wield the Darksaber; plus she just got it back defeating an enemy in battle. If she and Din can tame and ride a Mythsaur, she’s the legitimate ruler of Mandalor!!! Din doesn’t want the position at all.
I loved this episode. I make helmets and my favs are the armorer and Paz Visla but dang... Bo has become such a force. She was such an amazing character this episode. I kinda ship her and Dinn now. Like... never before but I want them to be together fer real..... She is amazing.
Predicting Mando ships Bo. Lol and every season the biggest gripe with this show is just that it's so short. Tbh imo this is the best show because it has nothing to do with either the empire or rebellion. The jedi stuff being minimal also is a plus. It really makes star wars feel open world for once.
If I’m around to see it, I look forward to you two rewatching all of Star Wars when your little one is old enough. I’m wondering if you’d do chronological or release order. 🤔
I wonder if the word that Mandalore is toxic is propaganda to keep the Mandalorian remnants away from there, or, there's something of value that someone is hiding, interesting.
