Purrgil Moment is definitely setting it up for rebels fans no one else would understand what they are.. it's an ominous nod to what's coming ,,,The latest bad batch episode and the Mandalorian season three great day for giant creatures in starwars ... Can't wait to see Ezra and Thrawn
It's interesting to see, that the Mandalorians who do it wrong according to Bo-Katan are kinda thriving, while Bo-Katan's Mandalorians split up even though she "waved around the dark saber" like it's tradition
I also totally thought that the first scene was a flashback, good to see someone else who thought that lol! For Bo Katan: if you saw at the start of the credits, it had an initial "Starring" section with Pedro Pascal and Katee Sackhoff, and then after a Co-Starring section with Carl Weathers, Emily Swallow, etc, which implies to me that Bo Katan has "main character" status for this season
Man I would want to live on Nevarro now. They really cleaned the place up. They’re in a good location for trade, have become independent, and they don’t want to ruled by a far off government like the New Republic (which is good because let’s face it bureaucracies become corrupt so fast; I wouldn’t want to be ruled by canon’s New Republic). Dude just invite the other members of Din’s tribe and you got standing security.
Don’t forget that Sabine, and Ahsoka are on the trail of Grand Admiral Thrawn. They are obviously looking for Ezra. Not spoilers. Remember the last scene of Rebels, and also when Ahsoka said in the Mandalorian, “Where is Grand Admiral Thrawn?!” The last scenes in Rebels took place right after Episode VI.
@@tmac731 Din and his group are part of a cult that takes the Mandalorian teachings to the extreme. Bo Katan is an average Mandalorian who cares about Mando culture but doesn't revolve her life around it
Trust me, I thought that beginning scene was a flashback too. Come to find out, many of us other viewers did as well. Yeah, that's Grogu using the Force to spin the chair. That gave me a little chuckle. About Sabine. Again... speculation. Dave Filoni who created Clone Wars and Rebels co-wrote episodes 4 & 7 of this season. It's possible that she may appear in one of those. Or maybe Ahsoka or a big Filoni character (or characters). Usually when Filoni is that involved with co-writing an episode, one of his "babies" is involved. We of course just don't know.
I'm glad to see someone who doesn't hate Bo Katan. A lot of people find her annoying but I love her character, although she is an 'antagonist'. But I think it is important to remember she was radicalised by death watch when she was younger who was also obsessed with the 'old ways' and slowly saw the corruption that existed in it. She probably thinks Din's group 'The Watch' in the same light, as to why she's so critical. She's been blamed for Mandolore's destruction for so long now, and i think it makes sense as to why she wanted the dark saber back and why she got annoyed at Mando when he got it. She's not the most moral character, but that's whats so interesting about her. I hope we see her more this season! I also thought it was a flashback at the beginning lol Plus seeing the purrgils brought a tear to my eye as a massive rebels fan. I have a feeling the Ahsoka show is going to be some of the best star wars content we've seen a while and I hope they save Thrawn's reveal for then honestly. Great reaction, so glad you're reacting in live time too!
Hey ItsAPrimate, loved the reaction as always! For some clarity at 18:28 Rebels technically ends post episode 6 do to Sabine in the epiloge saying that the Battle of Endor already happened. There is a theory going around that what we saw in Mando s2 and Boba Fett w/ Ahsoka that those take place before the epiloge in Rebels happened. So that explains why she doesnt have the white cloak or White Staff with her. I honestly think Ahsoka is going to start off with a live action rendition of the Rebels epiloge of Ahsoka going to pick up Sabine since Ahsoka now , assumably, has actionable info to find Thrawn and Ezra.
Love your reactions man, and this was a great premiere!!! There are three things I want for this season: Mando learning to use the darksaber, Sabine, and a Luke and Ahsoka team up!!! This’ll be an amazing season, especially if any of these happen!!! PS: it would be very awesome and this makes so much sense, especially if we see Sabine. Her training Mando to use the darksaber!!! That would be… WOW!!!
Just finished rebels not to long ago and cried my eyes out in the end. Watched all of your rebels reactions while going thru! What a series. Where this Mando series picks up I have never been more excited to see and hear what you think about it! What a blast this episode was! I cannot wait for more. And hopefully.. Ezra 🥲🥹 thanks for the early reaction you are definitely one of my favorite reactors.
Love how you caught on to the hyperspace creatures from Rebels. Being almost 40 minutes this episode went by fast. Mando does speak Huttese the Anzellans don’t speak Huttese. He was asking them if they spoke it cause he didn’t understand what they were saying and it appears in the outer rim that Huttese is the language everyone knows. I liked how they wrote out Cara Dune. They didn’t kill her off so there could be a redemption with Disney and Gina.
I haven't watched Boba Fett so imagine my surprise when Grogu turned up again. I was so confused thinking he went with Luke, had me questioning my memory haha
There's two kinds of people: 1 those who say Andor is the best Star Wars in years. 2 those who are wrong and have the attention span of a goldfish. I'm sure you'll quite enjoy it, it's very nuanced.
it was an interesting episode but objectively there were a few things that felt off the episode felt very expensive the opening sequence was strange? the costumes and the Castle were pretty cool! but I don't understand the fixation with IG11, there shouldn't be any internal circuits working after the self destruction, kinda makes the self destruction useless lol the pirates were pretty cool too, the ship had a cool design and it was awesome seeing the hyperspace whales, Din missed the sight of a lifetime! ahahah
Wow, wasted no time getting this out. I forgot about this honestly, I only realised when I went to *legitimately acquire* this week's Bad Batch and saw this too.
Hey, Primate! Hope you are well. While the episode may have been "shorter", sometimes, many times, actually, "Less is More". Also, where did you hear that it's been 2 years since the end of season 2? Or did you mean "real time"? I'm asking, because Dave Filoni said pretty much the same thing in an interview the other day. But he was also a bit ambiguous about whether he meant in universe or real life. I mean, we know Grogu wasn't with Luke for a couple of weeks (like Luke wasn't with Yoda for only a couple of days in Empire), but I don't think it was 2 years, either. 3:00 - Did you notice how that big bitch crunched through that Mandalorian's beskar armour before he swallowed him? 11:35 - Mando does speak Huttese, he was asking if the Anzellans speak it, as he couldn't understand what they were saying in their language. A lot of people (myself included) are wondering if one of those Anzellans is Babu Frick from Rise of Skywalker. But I love the inclusion of that species, whether it's him or not. 12:50 - That guy reminded me of a combination of 3 "horror movie" characters: Swamp Thing, The Toxic Avenger, and Tar Man from Return of the Living Dead, if you combined them all together.
Important to note is that Kara was supposed to be the star of the "Rangers of the New Republic" show, so they really didn't have to write her off, but since "Rangers" isn't being done, it serves as good a reason as any not to have her in Season 3.
For me, I always watch the first trailer exactly ONE time. If there is a time gap of multiple months between the first and second trailer, I will also watch the second trailer once, otherwise I skip it. I want to get in the mood and I need a very basic impression of what to expect in the movie or show. Star Wars trailers are usually made in a way that they don't spoiler the main storyline, they show a lot of action scenes that tell you basically nothing without context and that I will forget anyway because I watch the trailer only once. The main information that I take is when and where in the canon this is placed and some of the characters that will appear (the very big reveals are obviously not shown in the trailer). Why I do this? Because your brain will have at least some expectations. And with zero information, there is a higher chance that your expectations will be very wrong. And wrong expectations are what will make you disappointed by a show/movie.
Can of worms kinda topic I know. So I know that Cara Dune was going to be a BIG part of this season before Gina got fired by Disney and I know that she was a nice person on set. It just sucks how they treated her after she got let go. Like she got cancelled, an episode with Bear Grylls almost didn't happen. They wanted her to make a public apology but she said no. They didn't personally tell her that she was fired. Just a big mess and I personally think it was very unprofessional of them. Like if you want her gone just be up front and find away to ease her out of the show. This, this was a good way to tell us she's just off doing more missions. Respect
Admittedly I preferred the newest Bad Batch to this lol, this ep felt simultaneously rushed and slow in a way that I can't quite explain. But I hope that the amount of setup in this episode makes way for a great season ahead.
I hope Mando doesn't get redeemed. Bay Yoda left and then came back. Mando lost his ship and got a new one. Fennec died and then came back. Nothing in the mandalorian has been permanent. Every important thing that has happened has been undone. I also hope bob katan doesn't become ruler.
