The puppeteers and sound designers are KILLING me. The way Grogu gets so sad when she says he's too young to take the creed, and then gets even more sad after she says his parents are probably long dead, and then the way his eyes get SO BIG and he lights up as soon as Din Djarin says he's officially adopting him.... MY HEART!!!!!
The way the Armorer was literally like... "aaaah... if oNlY his pArEnTs were here... but they're nOT aRe They, Din DjArIn???" *intense side eyes* literally "I dare you beech, adopt your son NOW or else I'll banish you again"
Little Grogu spraying the bacta spray on Din like IG-11 did the first season in the caves to heal him. 🥹 He was going to make triple sure Dad was okay. ❤️
@@Sharonmplus I love how he knew what the spray for but not exactly when or how to use it. Like he saw Din being knocked around and was like daddy’s hurt! Must help! Like kid he’s wearing bescar and he’s taken much worse beatings. He’s fine. Though I’m sure he needed it after Gideon was beating the shit out of him like in the s2 finale.
Those Praetorian Guards these last two episodes; "Should we ominously walk out from behind these crates yet?" "No, wait for a cooler line... ok Now!" *Music plays*
With the Shadow Council last week I was just imagining a temp agency for the Praetorian Guards like…”all right guys, we got a rec for 3 of you you gotta fly all the way to Mandalore so pack your bags. DO NOT go over your per diems. DO NOT get another one of our clients killed.”
I think there was a scene cut during Ragnar’s baptism where Axe adopts him because Dinn’s helmet is dry as he approaches the water but then it’s covered in water
I think the Armorer is my favorite character. She's just such a badass. Smashing left and right with her hammer and tongs with her jetpack. God she's so cool.
It is cool for sure but it also bugs me that she made Din destroy his spear because 'Beskar isn't meant to be forged into weapons' yet we never see her use her 'tools' for anything other than combat.
@@Caedus696 Not True when you see her making armor she uses the hammer every time. And a Hammer is a Tool that can be used as a Weapon a SPEAR IS ONLY a weapon.
Now we need a comic series about the poor mouse droid alone on the surface of Mandalor after falling off the Imperial Base and the adventures it encounters.
I was not even thinking about any of our Mandos possibly being spies. I am half convinced the show fanned the flames of those rumors/theories to ramp up tension during this episode... I'm not mad, I enjoyed it!
It's a little thing, but I appreciate the fact that for Gideon to have broken the saber WHILE it was in Bo's hand means he had to have broken her hand, too. To that end, Katee doesn't use her right hand again for the rest of the episode, even when lighting the forge.
Yeah people complained about that because her fingers were visibly fucked or something and I’m like “They aren’t going to show that on a family friendly show…”
I just love un-subtle the Armorer was about the parent thing. Pretty much was like, "You better adopt this baby right now, Dinn!" Also, her "This is the way" was definitely "YES! FINALLY!" 😅
Lol totally. She and all the fans were like finally!!! About freaking time!!! I wasn’t expecting them to make it an official thing. It’s already been so well established. But I’m glad they confirmed it.
I love how emotional so many people, myself included, got about Din Djarin officially adopting Grogu. We all knew from season 1 that they had a father-son relationship but for them to make it official like that! 😭
Yeah, these guys allow the story to actually allow story to develope and not constantly try to get ahead of it with wild speculation and rumors...it gets annoying
I can’t believe some of the other reactors. They have written up a story on their own and are furious when their expectations are not met. That’s all on them! You can still have opinions and criticisms if they are valid - not because you didn’t see something YOU wanted to see.
Yeah. Everyone's gotta chill out on the perceived easter eggs, the endless speculation, and the expectations going into every single episode. Just tune in and enjoy! Whatever happens, happens. It's fun we even get this stuff in the first place.
I would like to add this comment (regarding the "who the spies are?" discussion), from a comment in Kyle Katarn's reaction video: "I saw a theory about last weeks episode "The Spies" and it's not actually intending for anyone to be a "Spy" so to speak, sure Elia Kane is the spy but "The Spies" refers to 12 Judaic spies that investigated a town for Moses to see if it were safe for them to take over or live in or whatever, 2 of the 12 spies were confident they could conquer the town the others were exaggurating that it would be impossible. The episode is and the season as a whole is essentially this re-told!"
I just want to thank you guys. You're not just my go-to reactors, you're like my friends. Now everytime watch a series or a movie I'm thinking to myself "man that was sick, those 2 are going to love it" or "oh boy they're going to cry ugly with this one" Thank you for being such nice, funny and warm people. Love you guys
I like that in S1E1, The Mandalorian was introduced in an opening iris transition (saloon door opening), and S3E8, he (and Grogu) is shown in a closing iris transition.
When Grogu was looking at the Gideon clones and his little ears went down that's when I thought "Oh god it's a combination of Gideon & Grogu's Force. What horror must be going through Grogu's mind to see that horrid man as multiple clones & sense the Force (possibly sensing himself?) in it as well!". Just like the Mythosaur, the Gideon clone opened its eyes when Grogu reached out because it is connected to the Force. Love that Mando is an "independent contractor". Ellie: "CON-TRACT-OORRRRRR"
The Armorer bringing her forging tools to battles will forever be the coolest and most iconic thing to me. She's so cool. I also loved that shot of Bo holding the dark saber as they flew in. Legendary!
Mom and Dad protecting their son, then the son protecting his Mom and Dad who were BOTH willing to sacrifice themselves for him? this is the way, they have to do it in one of the next seasons
It has become my traition to watch these shows, and then log on here to see what yours are. It's nice to have someone I can laugh, cry, or cheer insanely with. Thank you so much for bringing your honest goodness into our lives. This peach is happy to be here.
I think destroying the dark saber ties into Din and the Children of the watch following her for who she is inside and not some special trophy It's about moving forward
Something I love about Gideon's little monologue after confronting Din is that, the way he says so adamantly that his clones would have the Force just further hammers in how little people know about the Force; it's not a power the Jedi have that let's them make things float, but a cosmic energy that influences everything but of course Gideon doesn't understand that because he's so arrogant (which we see again later when he taunts Bo-Katan about how Mandalorians are nothing without their trinkets when, in actuality, they can fight with their bare hands and still come out on top)
I agree with you guys 20:36 …What a great season! You two are some of my absolute favorite reactors! I love how much you get into the story and how tender your hearts are as well. Keep on doing it - this is the way! I have spoken.
*ALL HAIL BO-KATAN, THIS IS THE WAY!!* I’ve said for years that she could be the best ruler Mandalore has ever had, and she’s more than proven that. She was the true titular Mandalorian this season. I’m also so happy that the Mandalorians *FINALLY* have their home back but more than that, they have truly been united. And seeing the Great Forge reignited was beautiful. I still can’t believe how many people thought that one of the Mandalorians would’ve been a spy for Moff Gideon, especially The Armorer! What just because she’s mysterious, has horns on her helmet?!?! I blame the fact that the last episode was called The Spies, which was a horrible title because there has only been 1 spy and it’s Elia Kane. And as much as I love the Darksaber to death, that weapon needed to go. Weapons are an intrinsic part of their society and the Darksaber is the greatest weapon in Mandalorian history, but that is also their greatest weakness. They revered it so much that it kept them from following who they knew was the right leader for their people and going with the “rightful” owner of that blade. In order for them to move forward it needed to go. Also, all I have wanted was for Din and Grogu, (I’m sorry, Din Grogu) to find a nice, peaceful and beautiful place to relax and call home. And all the frogs to play with/eat.
I totally agree. My only complaints were how the dark saber was destroyed and no mithosaur. And a few smaller things but whatever. I’m glad the dark saber’s gone. It was way more trouble than it’s worth. It just seemed weird because one minute Gideon’s like give it to me. Then Bo goes full ROTJ Luke and next he’s crushing it and probably breaking her poor hand. But I absolutely loved Din finally adopting Grogu. I hope he and Bo meet up regularly. He did promise to serve her and she’ll miss Grogu. And Din too I’m sure ;). Also Bo wouldn’t be where she is now if it wasn’t for Din. What an arc! Her journey was my favorite part of this season. I also think the Spies was a misleading title. I’m glad none of the Mandos betrayed anyone.
@@madelinegarber7860 - I had assumed the “spies” in question were the members of the shadow council. They are literally spying for the Empire on the planets they live on.
This season has sky rocketed Bo to my second favorite Mandalorian behind Din. She’s gained so much respect from me this season and she’s a stone cold bad ass. I went into this season liking her for her combat skill and complicated history, but I wasn’t big on her ruling. And while I still stand my original position that Din would be an amazing leader if he ever felt so inclined, I now fully support Bo being Mandalor. And you know why? Because she put in the work and learned from her mistakes and earned it fair and square.
I love how everyone gets a happy ending. The Mandalorians got their home back, Djarin and Grogu have their own place and is officially father and son now. Now I just want to see them go on random adventures!
Did anybody else notice that Dave Filoni in Season 1 seemed like your normal low rank Rebel/ New Republic Pilot and here they made him a fricking GENERAL (5 Round Shapes on his Rank Plate)? Kinda fittingly...
I'm honestly surprised nobody mentioned the fact that they only had 2 troopers "escorting" Din off to the "debriefing room". Like, someone literally must have said : "Bob. Frank. The two of you, ALONE, drag this incredibly deadly super-soldier to the torture chamber. Alone. JUST THE TWO OF YOU. Because surely he will not resist or escape as you DRAG HIM TO THE TORTURE CHAMBER. Ok? Good, get going. Chop-chop."
Current theory is that this is the end of the "Gideon saga" and Season 4 will be after a significant timeskip and the beginning of a new saga, possibly the "Thrawn Saga". After that, I expect the Droid Saga, followed by the Cell Games.
Between the armor he was wearing, not seeing a body after the fire/explosion cleared out, and the clone tanks we have seen in other bases, I don't think this is the last we have seen of Moff Gideon
I do. They made a point of the fact that he was not the one doing the Emperor's clone research, but instead he had diverted it to his own "Darth Vader Cosplay" project. Now, "Ahsoka" can pick up that plot and give it to Thrawn and his forces going forward. Which means Gideon is no longer needed for anything.
You guys give some of the best reactions and react a lot like I do! Great to know the meaning of "The Spies" is a biblical reference and makes so much sense now! And now Grogu is a Mandalorian Apprentice and Din's son, I love the way he walks by Din's side. He can walk around by himself, confidently. We don't see him in his floating crib anymore, nor does he need IG-12. Also, he stands on the steps in Nevarro and Greef Karga addresses him by name which he didn't at the beginning of the season and Mando had to remind Greef that his name was Grogu. He plays with the frog but doesn't eat it, because he is not hungry like he was before. He is safe and home and growing up. Finally, I know there is a lot of criticism of Season 3, but I see it as part of a trilogy. The final episode is titled "The Return", and could parallel with "The Return of The Jedi" film. I am already watching the whole three seasons from the beginning and I am sure there will be a great deal of insight to gain. I can hardly wait for the next trilogy (Seasons 4, 5 & 6) of The Mandalorian. I hope we see Din Grogu on top of the Mythosaur!
"You know what the Mask means to my people. Without it we are lost, vagabonds wandering the galaxy without a purpose. Recovering the Mask could be the key to restoring Mandalorian honor-and power. Whoever finds it will be hailed as the new leader of the clans. Mandalore will rise again, and the Mandalorians will follow." so that could be a thing
Couple of comment response: Re: Vizla, his armor was Beskar, but the Guard stabbed him in gaps in the armor: Low and behind into the abdomen from behind, back of the knee, and finally down through the collar into his vital organs. Din just wasn't as exhausted as Vizla, so he was better able to react and keep his armor in the way. Re: Gideon sounding like he had servos backing his movements, of course. Phase 3 Darktrooper is still built like a droid, but also wearable as armor. It WAS enhancing his movements and strength.
I love that you guys haven't been part of the hate train for this season. Its been clear from episode two that this would basically be a movie split into eight parts. If all the episodes had dropped at once and we could have just binged it I'm thinking there would have been less whinging. I'm looking forward to rewatching it without the weekly waits.
The only thing missing from this perfect episode was Bo sitting next to Jarin on his patio at the end "are you gonna take that helmet off?!" "This is the way!" 😒
I even cried when they relit the forge! That could even have been the end and have the Din and Grogu at home an after credits scene. I hope they pop up somewhere in Ahsoka. Season 4 is green lit and written, according to Favreau, so hope it comes soon!
I cried too, when you think about all the Mandalorian history, all the characters we've met and what it would mean to them. What it would mean to Satine, to Korkie, to Sabine, heck I hope one day Boba Fett comes there. After so many wars and so much destruction and betrayals and hurt, they're finally turning a new leaf, allowing things to grow again. It'll be a bumpy ride, but they've done part of the job together, and they'll do much more and that's just... We started the show with like 5 Mandalorians hiding in the sewers, risking their lives every time they went outside, bowing to the Empire and scrapping every little bit of what was THEIRS by right. Protecting children and clinging to these children like the literal hope for their future. And then on top of that, at the end of s1 everyone died, at the exception of the Armorer, Paz and Din. Even only on the Mandalorian tv show only, these people have suffered so much: the images of the Night of a Thousand Tears are so gut wrenching, but they never gave up, and at the end, they honored everyone they lost on the way to get there.
Glad you loved the season as much as I did. It was really about Mandalore. Great reaction. I loved the way the Armorer said "this is the way" for the adoption. She's the one that told him to take care of Grogu in season 1. Also maybe there's 1 clone out there... a prototype if you will?
Din Djarin should totally build a training course for Grogu on that land. With boulders small to big for him to practice his telekinesis. Lift 1 have it rotating lift the 2nd rotate a 3rd rotate. Also knowing he will use a lightsaber at some point Din could carve a tiny wooden saber for him to practice with!! Maybe Din could ask Luke or Ashoka for there help in what ideas that would be work to keep his training tough but will really benefit his size
I NEED more Mandolorian not ready to say goodbye but this episode was SO GOOD I was on the edge of my seat I was like jumping so much and then Din adopting Grogu as his son! my heart this was just AN AMAZING EPISODE I HAVE LOVED this whole scene I cannot wait for more
I mean you guys are 100% right about the Darksaber Ahsoka tie in. The Ahsoka trailer literally had Huyang in it. He has been helping younglings make lightsabers since at least a couple 100 years before Yoda made his (I don't think it has said exactly how old he is). That said just because we saw the 1000+ year old lightsaber making droid doesn't mean that is where we are going. As much as I like the Darksaber the Mandalorian obsession with such things is part of what has divided them. It would be pretty poetic after all her concerns if Bo-Katan manages to lead them without it.
Hey Peaches, when I watched the finale early this morn I just knew you guys wouldn't disappoint on this one. It's been a great 3rd season, thanks for letting us tag along.
I'm honestly hoping we don't see that thing again until Grogu is ready to take his place as a Mandalorian-Jedi. And make it out of Beskar, for Force's sake.
@@griffinsummoner I think the hilt WAS made of beskar but it's a casing, not a solid block. Gideon's mech suit had servo motors to enhance his strength, allowing him to crush Bo-Katan's hand along with the hilt, thus shorting out the circuitry of the Darksaber.
@@Lupin788 The only reason I question that is because we've never seen Beskar even dent, even when taking heavy impacts, which makes me doubt even the Phase3 Darktrooper suit would have that kind of strength, especially with only the hand.
I'm still processing this episode. As a rollercoaster ride it had it all, with shades of Episodes 4, 5 and 6 all rolled into one. The season 2 conclusion blew people's minds because of Luke arriving, with a cliffhanger ending which was awesome, but this felt like a more emotionally rounded and satisfying conclusion to a chapter.
I love how genuine and open you both are and how you never let expectations ruin your time, as many Star Wars fans do😂❤ let's take it easy 🥰🥰🥰🥰this is entertainment, our passion, our hobby...
Yes! I’ll admit I had my expectations set a bit too high. But I knew that the vast majority of my predictions wouldn’t happen so I still really loved the episode despite being let down by a few things. I’m a little salty about the mythosaur barely appearing for example.
I'd love the Darksaber to be rebuilt because Huyang, the Lightsaber creation instructor from Clone Wars is still around in the Ahsoka show, maybe he can help rebuild it... HOWEVER I feel like Bo learnt a lesson from Din in that the Darksaber doesn't mean shit, it's just a tool, a weapon by your side, I mean hey it meant literally nothing to Din to own that weapon as all he cared about was loyalty and strength of character which Bo showed and she learnt that Mandalorians are stronger as a community, as a team than with a mere weapon.
