Sounds like the great torch singers of the 40's and 50's. Ms Siegel never sounds the same on any two songs, she is the female Mel Blanc of Singers. I have been a fan of Manhattan Transfer since Java Jive first came out. Congrats on the big 50, sure wish Mr. Hauser could be here to celebrate it with you. God Bless you MT.
A beautiful song sung beautifully by the wonderfully amazing Ms. Janis Siegel who sounds different on every song, she is the Mel Blanc of girl singers. The late Mr. Tim Hauser, had a genius for putting voices together be it Ms. Siegel, Ms. Laurel Masse, Mr. Alan Paul and himself, or finding Ms. Cheryl Bentyne to replace Ms. Masse. In every configuration no one can touch the voices in the Manhattan Transfer the classiest group ever.
