I'm so intrigued by this property and would die for a tour! Assuming the rooms are all massive in scale , are there just so many of them that they kind of repeat, as in like 20 sitting rooms? We keep seeing the same dozen or so photos online but I've read that there are 123 rooms. Tori Spelling recalled only a handful of them from her time living there - family bedrooms, the kitchen, and places they hung out - as if most of the house was un-lived in. What is it like for anyone who's been there?

I too was interested in seeing the kitchens and butler's pantry. Most homes of great elegance have a butler's pantry that is actually a smaller version of a large kitchen just off the main dining area that servers heat, cook, and prepare additional foods, cocktails, and entrees for the dining guests.

Maybe an excess to you, but to the people who built this, it was just right for them. Just because you are only used to 2 room homes, doesn't mean everyone else has to fit in to that way of thinking.

I walked through the house when it was almost finished---Even then I never understood the need of this immense space for most any family yet a family of four----Having guests and parties in a home of this magnitude is on ocaission---Living daily in 56,000 sq ft is daunting and rather inconvenient---Is there a need for this? Really? The house and property is truly beautiful and wonderfully well done----I have to give it that
