It’s odd to see Leslie being escorted down the hall behind heavily pregnant Linda, since this is pre-trial and the prosecution was worried about what they would do if Atkins ran back to Manson and refused to testify (which she eventually did). This was around the time Squeaky and Catherine Share would visit Linda at the jail and warn her against cooperating with the DA (she eventually told them to eff off). Once Linda became a witness, none of the others would be allowed within three feet of her let alone led down a hall behind her.
Adrian Shephard I haven’t read the book yet but based on the 3 hour interview I watched of O’Neill talking about his book, “Manson was innocent” was definitely not the take-away. Even if the Helter Skelter theory falls apart, and other possible motives are considered, Manson is still culpable. (An aside is that O’Neill doesn’t come off as 100% credible to me, but this is merely an opinion.)
Adrian Shephard See now you’re venturing way into the land of opinion, away from what your original premise seemed to be (that O’Neills book exonerates Manson, which as far as I can tell it does not). I’m fairly well convinced Manson was involved in the conspiracy, and by legal standards that makes him culpable. He also by his own admission broke into the Labianca’s home and tied the couple up for slaughter. He may as well have driven the knives in himself. He was also involved in Shorty Shea’s murder, and Gary Hinman’s. We’ll have to agree to disagree because I generally don’t debate with Manson apologists, as it goes nowhere, and there’s usually some grander “society is all a lie” anti-establishment narrative driving the pro-Manson opinion.
None of that is true. Linda’s attorney said he had her (Linda) send Susan kite string messages telling her (Susan) that she was getting messages from Charlie telling Susan to recant. Linda was then given immunity and Bugliosi hid her past so she couldn’t be discredited. Linda, Susan, Leslie, Patricia and Tex all came up with the idea to create copy cat murders to make the police think they had the wrong person and Bobby would go free.
Paul Watkins later said he fled the Family after he heard of the murders. That's obviously not true. He's in these clips with Squeaky AFTER the arrests.
Squeaky was so adorable but so crazy my god. Can't believe she went that far she could of been something really great.. She's still crazy though if you watch her recent documentaries
Talk about "high level" court security., and this was way before metal detectors. As late as 1981 while working as a bodyguard I wore an ankle holster and a 38 into a courtroom......illegal, but I knew they would never check.
@@missyb9438 not really! There where More than 500 people slaughtered during the mai lai massacre, including young kids and women who were raped and mutilated before being killed. U.S. Army officers covered up the carnage for a year before it was reported in the American press.
So that is Paul Watkins to her right? It does seem really odd he would be with the family here considering he was one of the most important prosecution witnesses. Not sure what that’s about
Squeaky was cute & adorable. I would have totally fell for her back then. It’s a shame that her whole life has been wrapped up in a lie & been manipulated by Manson all these years. She still believes all these things that never took place & was never going to, that right there should prove that Manson was full of shit. He managed to get them to believe & manipulate them by keeping them full of sex & drugs. Sad. I wonder if she has any knowledge of the truth “In the back of her head” and just not letting it show, Ya know.............Like, That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.
it is tragic because I am sure at one time it was just fun and they did feel together. I can imagine the heads turning as the girls walked by Gypsy with her dark hair Squeaky with her red hair Catherine with her blonde hair Sandra with her sandy colored hair their were so many attractive members and even Manson with his look and he did have gifts but he ruined it all Bobby and Paul and Brookes and Catherine were all good musicians
can anybody tell me who the tall bearded guy with the white and gray or green designed shirt is? Not Bruce davis, and I cant figure that out. I think the guy with the afro/perm is Juan Flynn
jpe nrsy. HOW BEAUTIFUL THEY 4 LOOK (blue, red, paul, nancy)GIVES ME TEARS, nothing compared to what i see when i look at to this current apocalyptic world, total opposite
Really this video sucks!! A lot of it has no sound, and the picture quality is bad!! And then it cuts off while Lynette is reading the letter; just when it gets interesting!! However, it is still interesting!! I think "Little" Paul and Lynette had been smoking something!! And other Family members were there: Gypsy, Brenda, Juan Flynn. . etc..etc. . .
wrote to squeaky (red) and was friends w her for some years (until her release). she's the kindest , most intelligent person I know. People choose to believe the mass media lies about her and Manson. Think for yourselves. ATWA=LIFE.
you seem to know quite a bit about the manson family. so i have a question, how come paul watkins was at the the trial and beeing so friendly with everyone when he testified against manson?
+ATWA Green Irish yeah sure, but didnt the family know that he was testifying against him? and if you mind me asking? why are you defending (?) the family... or are you even defending them? maybe you just hate "snitches"... i mean... horrible crimes were comitted, are you an old member maybe? sorry, just so fascinated by all this
WOW REALLY SUNSINE MOMMA, YOU REALLY WROTE TO SQUEAKY, DID SHE WRITE YOU BACK? WOULD YOU CARE TO SHOW SOME OF THE LETTERS YOU TWO SHARED TOGETHER? AND WOULD YOU CARE TO TELL THE TATE AND LABIANCA FAMILIES HOW "SWEET" YOU SEEM TO THINK SHE IS OR THE REST OF THE MANSON FAMILY IS?? HOW WOULD YOU HAVE LIKED IT IF THEY HAD DONE THAT TO YOUR FAMILY? GOOD GRIEF LADY!!
I think manson was a bitter little man who used and abused others to carry out his madness like all mad men do!but I do find it ironic how all this was based on his rejection from society and Hollywood and the press coverage based the fascination on manson and the family making him the most famous man of his time which is what he wanted really just so messed up as they did stand for great things before their blood thirst took hold so tragic those poor people had to suffer for no reason 😢
