Flagship? The Cinema 30 is their flagship. I just bought both. The 70s is in my bedroom on a 5.0, and it is fantastic! It is a little pricey for what it is, but if you need a slim, it is worth it. If not, get the 60. The Cinema 30, on the other hand, is in my HT and is just unbelievable. The 30 puts a lot of pre/pros to shame (like my AV7705). I absolutely love the new Cinema line. I urge anyone looking to pick one up.
I only needed a 2 channel setup and love the Stereo 70s with AVR connections! Definitely a better choice for just 2 channel music listening. I think it’s so nice they have similar receivers for specific needs.
@@Supercar_Street_Racing Entry level for the brand, yes. Marantz products start at an RRP of €/$1000, and the higher the number the lower it is positioned. Ie AV10& AMP10> Cinema 30 > Cinema 50 > CInema 70s. Same with the AMP / Model series. 70s is great though. It's a pretty sweet package.
I got the cinema 70s about 5months ago, I was worried it would not be enough power for my q acoustics speakers but as they are 4ohms I set the receiver to 4ohms and the sound at low and higher volume is fantastic overall I’m a happy bunny, nice video.
If you haven't replaced your Yamaha yet now is a good time. The Cinema 60 is on sale for a couple hundred more than the 70's regular price. I just ordered the 60 and came here for insight and what to expect when it arrives. Great review. And I agree with you on some of the suspect Amazon reviews. Some apparently leave bad reviews because they failed to follow instructions.
I love both of mine. Only have one issue. Sometimes the one connected to my firetv in the Livingroom goes silent when it powers on. I suspect it's the TV not the receiver. If I power the TV off and back on the sound comes back over HDMI ARC.
Perhaps you can help me with this doubt. I see that the porthole display is very limited, as it only displays the source and volume. What happens to the sound mode? Is there any visual feedback on the porthole when you change from stereo to dolby surround or when you are receiving dolby atmos? Is there any button that you can press on the rc to see this info on the porthole?
I bought mine a few months ago. Well worth spent. If you stream music via Spotify or tidal it will automatically play in stereo and the album showed on screen (on tv) thus no need for a display on the unit. The sound is fantastic so long as you have a quality source and speakers to pair it with. I'm using towers and the 70s' 50 watts is more than enough to shake my apartment
@AHash5745 Awesome! I do have a problem with my firetv. Sometimes the audio stops working on arc. But if I reboot the tv it works again. That's after Ive not used it for a few hours.
@@Supercar_Street_Racing I'm saying that the difference between the 70s and Marantz's flagship, Is about the same difference between a Civic and Honda's flagship.
