Yes, finally!!! Narcissists are finally being called out- these folks love to glom onto empaths- and empaths are often vulnerable to narcissists. And it's true, we can get them out of our lives. Especially for those of us who had narcissistic parents who could not appreciate our sensitivity and abilities... As an empath, I finally booted out several who had had a toxic effect on me- finally I realized I could say no, and goodbye. Dr. Ramani has helped a lot too.

As a supersensitive and empath I've come to realise the importance of using these abilities to help shine a light on those people and situations that need the love and understanding that empaths know. I believe my soul purpose in this lifetime is to help champion much needed changes in this world by bringing that love and support where there is suffering, and I feel privileged to be here during this time helping to make those changes happen.

Aha! Just what I needed to hear this morning…”allow others the dignity of their own path.” Great advice. Thank you both. I found Dr. Orloff’s work many, many years ago. Early on, she was among the first to help me identify myself as an empath. And, I’m still on my learning journey trying to live as one in this crazy big world. Thank you again.

Great interview! Looking forward to reading Dr. Orloff’s book! Also, the message of “find what makes you happy” is never over stated, lol! In a world filled with meeting others’ expectations, that message is GOLD!! ❤

Wow this woman is so needed in the medical field. I agree that empathy is sorely lacking on all levels in all work arenas. Being an empath, I am finding it more and more challenging to be out in the world. I've changed two of my doctors in the past year because of the lack of empathy in general. Wonderful interview.

thank you so much for the beautiful interview! Dr. Orloff has such a gentle and sweet energy, would definitely love to hear from her again! similarly to what she said, I would love to have conversations about empathy as well ❤particularly when it comes to feeling repelled to give empathy in certain situations - for instance when someone says something that triggers me and they don't acknowledge the hurt they cause or reciprocate the same empathy I provide when they're triggered, it makes me feel a bit disheartened to initiate any kind of conversation with them and even sometimes feel less empathetic towards them. Does anyone else experience this? if anyone wants to discuss :')

School was difficult for me as an empath, as I was always picking up on the conflicting energy and emotions of the other kids. I didn't know what was going on with me or how to handle it. As a result, I retreated further into introversion as a coping mechanism. I wish there had someone back then who "got" me in that sense.
