Honestly I heard Topher's Dear Tom so I started to do some research about Tommy boy. I had just started to like Tom, but in my research I found out he isn't even a US citizen. He's spent his whole life makin $ trolling folks. Playing a fake character as a pro wrestler. Makes you really wonder is Tommy Boy being sincere or is he trolling for clicks. If he hasn't denounced his citizenship to Canada and become an American citizen, I lean to believe the latter.

@@dloco486 that's not the issue, and Tom never claimed to be american*... research? What, you read his lyrics or his own tweets talking about being canadian? Hardly research. Topher's point is that Tom only makes music about issues and makes money off that. Thing is... that's capitalism: make something people want, sell it, profit. Tom is very good at that. And sure, he gets a big spotlight and maybe even "takes away" the spotlight from other artists who not only point to the Truth but they also commit to it. Tom is not obligated to do anything besides what he wants to do and that is to make music and make money doing it. It's tough because I agree with Topher. If I weren't a Christian though, I would side with Tom. As an American, Tom is pretty much in the clear; anyone trying to use a moral standard (appeal to scripture) to make the case that he MIGHT be disingenuous and SHOULD make music that is less libertarian and more conservative or even more godly would have a hard time at that. I personally cannot compute being reasonable without God-given purpose because self-given purpose is lacking/futile. *edited, mistakenly wrote "canadian"

@@judgedredd31 he's not an American citizen. He's Canadian. He never denounced his citizenship to Canada and he's not American. Questioning his actual allegiance is definitely not out of the question.

@@dloco486 I know that. And as an immigrant he is not hiding that. My family were all immigrants for 10 years (that's how long it took for us to get citizenship). America is not anti-immigrant. I'm okay with questioning allegiance when there is reasonable suspicion, but he's clearly not making a positive case for canada and is obviously here because America is better. Also, is Tom wrong with the lyrics he writes? Does he spread lies about America? Do you agree with his lyrics? Most conservatives do, that's why he is successful. No one is buying Tom's music mainly because they assume he is American.... that's silly. If he wants to be American, awesome. Still don't see your issue with him.

I stopped listening to Topher after he dissed Tom MacDonald. That inviting does more damage than the left us. I have to find out who this song was dissing before I gave it any kind of attention

I also have this incredible ability to see all sides . meaning while most of you keep yourself tucked away nicely in your box and only able to see a view from your window . Im sitting up on a mountain top soaking in a lot more perspective. I understood Topher's song to Tom just as I am sure I will understand Tom's song to Topher if he chooses to reply .
