Also, by the way Mesosaurus was just mentioned in JW Aftermath out of nowhere, i actually think they just messed up and mispronounced Mosasaurus. It's not the first time this would have happened.

Yes we know about Mesosaurus, however we included it as a potential species.

Jw's mosa is called Mosasaurus maximus. I believe they said it's a fictional, much bigger species, but i much prefer it being a "mutated" geneticaly altered (probably by accident) clone of the real animal (which every fan pretty much knows it is, we're not buying into fictional prehistoric species), with maximus being a fitting name for this newly created monstrosity of a creature

@@The_AmberMineIts was first mentioned back in 2015, in the JW viral marketing website, on a fictional article. Also i need to correct myself, M. maximus is a junior synonym to M. hoffmanni, and was at one point considered a valid species, with some cientists still believing the fossils are different enough to be considered as such. JW's mosa situation is essentially the same as it's Velociraptor "antirrhopus", because back in '93, Deinonychus was briefly considered a Velociraptor species by some paleontologists, promoting Spielberg to use this as an excuse to essentially use Deinonychus in the movie, which was finally embraced in 2015 with a voiceline in JW calling the raptors "Velociraptor antirrhopus", which in real life is a synonym of D. antirrhopus
