The "Marry Me" Ground Reference Maneuver 

A wedding proposal in the sky! My girlfriend had been learning to fly and thought that this would just be another flight lesson. The flight plan involved flying specific patterns over the ground. For about 15 minutes, she precisely followed directions such as: Turn left 90 degrees, fly straight for one minute, then perform a quick 180 degree turn, etc. etc. She had no idea that I was recording the ground track, which happen to spell out "MARRY ME?" in the sky! When the skywriting was done, I handed her my tablet so that she could critique her performance. As the final letters form, she notices the hidden message; surprise! Best flight ever.
