This is a combined video using all of the available official releases of Electric Ballroom footage and the original, low quality, TV Broadcast. The TV Broadcast was cleaned up to the best of our ability and its audio was EQ'd to match the official releases. The TV broadcast has mono audio, so it's still obvious when it switches to official audio, but it's way better than what we've had for the last 20 years.

I was there when he explained this. He said he came up with it because that time they were in London a kid in an elevator told him his hair made him look like Kirk hammet from metallica ,( while imitating a British accent)

When I saw this show for the first time I asked myself how they could do this perform just few months after Jeremy's death, they could be lost and down, but instead made one of the most beautiful concerts ever. That was a lesson for me beyond music, and uploading this at Jeremy's birthday is a great gift. Long live The Mars Volta.

For any other band this would be a normal show. But for TMV it's so weird to see them just play there songs straight. What do you mean Drunkship isn't 30minutes?

this was a rare time were they played all songs from the album in order. they said they hated that in interviews so they quickly stopped

It was shot in 2003 and released on DVD. What do people expect? It’s funny that the same people who will bitch about this will ask for the band to release current footage “on dvd.” As if dvd has ever been good quality. It’s 480i. It’s a garbage format.
