I can't believe the blind Marvel consumers actually defending this movie and characters within

"Black Girl Magic" has been a saying for a long time but I'm sure a lot of non black people have never heard of it before.

For anyone that doesn't know, Marvel has been scrambling because they spent YEARS planning Phases 4-6 only for their plan to be obliterated last-minute by forces outside their control. Their ORIGINAL post-Endgame plans revolved around a new "trinity" of characters to replace franchise mainstays Iron Man, Cap & Black Widow (all of whom were leaving after Endgame). The recent book "MCU: The Reign of Marvel Studios" explains it in detail. The original plan was for Black Panther, Spider-Man and Captain Marvel to anchor the next chapter of the MCU. While filming Endgame, Chadwick Boseman, Tom Holland and Brie Larson often sat around and discussed their excitement over the future of the MCU and how they would be carrying the torch together, but then a series of unfortunate events destroyed those plans completely and left Feige and Marvel reeling. Between Covid, Chadwick's sudden death, Sony pulling out the rug from underneath Disney with their Spider-Man sharing agreement and the toxic responses to Captain Marvel, the entire plan imploded and Marvel was left trying to save the little they could and completely pivot and improvise the rest. THAT is why Phase 4 has been all over the place, with no clear direction. Their original plans were obliterated.

If this was the first trailer i would be more hyped tbh but nevertheless i will go and watch it anyways so i will judge it myself, unfortunately its coming one week late in my local cinema so i have to be aware of spoilers

I hate the nostalgia bait but this is their best trailer by a mile. It may be too late though because a lot of people have already decided to skip this movie.

Toho near me is showing the last English Showing at 6:20PM. I am not paying 2000 to see this. The late show was the only way and time I could see it. It looks like a juiced up CW or Agents of Shield episode. I have a feeling the post credits are going to be the most important parts of this movie. Also they know it is going to be bad with bringing in Tony and Capt for the intro.

It's normal to bring up avengers related footage for marketing a film featuring an avenger. Carol was the first one to be recruited to begin with. Second, she saved Tony in space and got up to speed with the threat in hand. They fought Universal threats togheter and for her it must be cathartic dealing with another one. Third, I've never seen anyone complain about avengers marketing use for Spider-Man. This objection is weird. I understand some people don't like Larson, you don't have to like everyone. However, be honest about it and call it what it is. Say that you don't like the actress/the character and that it's not for you. I'm really fed up with all the excuses. By now, it already sounds like gaslighting.

The villain looks just like another villian that nobody really liked all that much. Why go back to a dry well?

I got a chuckle out of Fury shouting "Black girl magic!" at Monica to get her to fly, but other than that this feels like "hey remember all these awesome characters you love? Yeah, none of them are in this movie."

The mystery character is Storm obviously. But don't get your hopes up, for all we know she's just in one scene, most likely in the post credits scene. Why? Cause if she was really an essential part of the movie, she would get a full reveal in the trailer like Spider-Man did in the final Civil War trailer.

Let the haters miss how important this film is. It DOES change everything! It's the first on-screen INCURSION! It was supposed to be the last film before Deadpool 3 FOR A REASON! Without spoiling anything, Marvel released a statement acknowledging parts of the scores from X2 & X-Men Days of Future Past will be played during this film, so 👀...
