@@christopherduffy6477these lads are hardcore trad heads. They play loads of the pure stuff, and are serious musicians technically and their band is made up of some serious trad musicians.

​@@christopherduffy6477I think making trad more accessible a good thing, any trad head who gets mad about them is insecure about their interest. the music is fairly pure trad, they're just under 40 and know how to entertain a crowd. A show of theirs in Dublin was one of the best I've ever been to. Young Irish people (and other people) listening to and enjoying trad will never be a bad thing.

@@paddyt4043 He puts a capo on second fret across all strings except the low E (the effect of this is like playing in Drop D, if that makes sense, so you are basically tuning d,g,b, and high e up two steps and leaving the low E as it is). Then he plays a melody, I can't transcribe that, but watch him play and you can kind of figure it out. Then he plays what would be a D, G and A. Those aren't the actual chords, but because of the capo you play those open chord shapes. This is the best I can figure it out, but he does some embellishments, so they are not just pure chords. But play within those chords and kind of improvise and you should be grand. I might not be 100% correct on all of this, but it's pretty close as far as I can tell.

No Michael, - Edward is right. If in drop D tuning, 2nd fret capo across all brings D back to low E . Great song.
