He truly has done it all, a DJ, singer, dancer, actor, comedian, starred in movies, in musicals, on Broadway, had his own TV Series. And has a Grammy, Emmys and Tonys. Such an icon! Truly the biggest star they have ever had on the show!!! It made my heart smile.

@Rebecca Mystery I hadn't ever heard that either, that I could recall. But I did a little research, and found out he was a radio announcer - which is what a disk jockey originally was, back in the day. So the answer is yes. :^)

DeNiro would never say that going to bed knowing he put a smile on somebodies face was good enough for him. What the hell? That destroys his tough guy image. Dustin Hoffman wouldn't either. All the judges got right was that he was old. The judges are stupid. Get over it.

He does sound a good bit like Tony Bennett, as one of the judges guessed just before the unmasking. They WERE right at the premiere in saying it was the biggest, greatest star they have ever had on the show and using language like "legend" and "presence of greatness."

but i knew that wouldn't be the right answer. Tony in such a state of dementia, he couldn't be doing this show now. It's so rare to be 97 and walking and have your brain working properly. Dick is very lucky.

I'm 47 years old and I had the honor to grow up watching Dick Van Dyke with my great great grandmother my grandmother I watch him in plays tv shows musicals. And my daughter watching them with me . I also watch his son on TV also. We love you Dick Van Dyke

I’m 30 and just started watching “The Dick Van Dyke Show” for the first time, it’s crazy how well it holds up. First episode came out on 1961, still hilarious. Him and MTM had great chemistry.

You like him so much but yet can't get the name of his show right that he played along side with his own son Barry. It was called Diagnosis Murder. He played Dr. Mark Sloan. I watch the show every morning.

My favorite is his portrayal of Rev. Clayton Brooks in "Cold Turkey," where he gets a small town in Iowa to quit smoking for 30 days to win $25M (equal to $185M today) from a tobacco company. Still hilarious over 50 years later!

I knew it was him immediately because his voice and the hints and when they showed the Kennedy Center award it solidified my guess. I love his movies and tv shows, and he is so humble and down-to-earth, and he has a beautiful relationship with his lovely wife, Arlene. I love their music video they put out a few years ago called "Everybody Love's a Lover." You can just see the love they have for each other, its beautiful

The truth is, every season, they get at least one legendary performer and let them sign on to do one or two performances and "be eliminated", either because they can't commit to a full season or they're old and couldn't take a full season. He's not eliminated as in "not as good". He's eliminated as in "probably signed on to get eliminated early."

I am so sorry I missed this night when he appeared. It is obvious who it is, but at age 97 to come on the Masked Singer and do this modern song as well as he did it just amazing. No way he got past this performance but it is a huge honor for him to come on the show and do this. The guesses are funny as some as so wrong it is incredible. That voice is known everywhere.

It makes me sad and happy my grandma loved dick van dyje. I used to stay at there’s on weekends and chitty bang bang was one of the favourites and sound of music etc there both gone now and I’m 33 and he’s still going. Brilliant that made me smile
