Two of the greatest filmmakers of all time. Enjoy and admire while they’re still with us cause when they go cinema will be a very poor place. I felt it with Stanley’s passing deeply I will feel it with those too.

Hopefully, physical media will be around for the next fifty years but who knows how long DVDs, Blu-rays or 4K discs will last. Unlike Shakespeare, cinema, in the past 130 years or so, can help us see and experience EXACTLY (without Disney censoring etc) what such artists can express. John Ford, like Bruce Lee, died just after I was born. In my lifetime, Alfred Hitchcock, Orson Welles, Francois Truffaut, Akira Kurosawa, Billy Wilder, your aforementioned Stanley Kubrick, as well as many others of my favourite directors like Alan Parker, Miloš Forman, Hal Ashby, Robert Altman and Krzysztof Kieślowski have passed. These wondrous two, plus George Lucas, Francis Coppola, when they pass away, I'm sure the whole world of film lovers will also feel it deeply.

There are still some major talents in Hollywood. Nolan, Fincher, Chazelle, Gerwig, Villeneuve, the Andersons (PTA and Wes), Cooper, Lanthimos all make fantastic films. Though we can only pray they will have the longevity and retain the high standards Scorsese and Spielberg have done for decades.

Ugh...don't even mention them being gone one day. I will be very sad knowing that the 2 of the greatest directors won't be here one day, and sooner then latrr. I just hope they are like Clint Eastwood and direct until they dead and buried. A world without marty? Don't want to live in that world..only ones keeping real films alive.

Wow, it's so much fun to listen to these guys every time they get together to talk. My only question is, Who is giving Steven Spielberg the signal to start wrapping it up? Are you kidding? If you're there in attendance and need these two legends to wrap it up, you shouldn't be there, you don't deserve to be there, and probably need to see the neurologist.

1:06 That would be great. In fact what they need to do is get Spielberg, Scorsese, Lucas and Coppola on stage reminiscing TOGETHER with a crap ton of time allotted for audience questions before one of them passes. It would be the greatest filmmaker interview of all time and a gem for young filmmakers to see how these guys interact with each other and their differing views/opinions. If anyone sees this, pass it on to the DGA or to these guys and make it happen please we need it! 🙏

For many years, I described Silence as the most thought provoking film since Schindler’s List. Killers of the Flower Moon may have one-upped that movie and made it just as thought provoking.

Should I watch it. I seriously don't like Adam Driver and Timothy Chalmat. , bcz as much as I respect Scorsese he didn't give chance to Mickey Rourke and Gary Oldman. I just cannot grasp it

This needs to happen: Angelina Jordan in Paris Steven Spielberg Angelina Jordan is a young singer who has amazed the world with her voice and style. She has performed in many countries and events, but one of her dreams was to sing in Paris, the city of love and art. That dream came true when she was invited by Steven Spielberg, the famous director, to be part of his new movie project. Spielberg was impressed by Angelina's talent and wanted her to sing the main theme song of his film, a romantic comedy set in Paris. Angelina was thrilled and accepted the offer, and soon she found herself in the beautiful French capital, recording the song and exploring the city with Spielberg. They had a great time together, and Angelina felt inspired by the culture and history of Paris. She also learned a lot from Spielberg, who shared his wisdom and experience with her. Angelina said that this was one of the best experiences of her life, and that she was grateful to Spielberg for giving her this opportunity.

Maybe they can collaborate on films, especially Historical Epics and Sci-Fi. Has Scorsese ever directed a Sci-Fi film?

which one's which? which one is The Master and which is The Maestro? at first I said "of course Scorsese gets the most prestigious one; he's the Master, definitely". but then I took a second thought and determined that it's actually Spielberg who's the Master and Scorsese the Maestro. Steven Spielberg still to this day has a cinematic eye that's unequaled in all of film. okay, maybe Kubrick, I agree, but since he's passed, who remains in Western Film that's a better crafter of moving images than Spielberg? even with a trite or bad script (hello, _Ready Player One),_ Spielberg's cinematic touch is magnetic. it's fire. Scorsese just can't match Spielberg's eye for movement or framing. Spielberg's the king with that. and so Scorsese is then the Maestro, for me. he's the one - he is IT. taken just as how consistently he's made great movies, Martin Scorsese is the greatest filmmaker of all time. he's got maybe 20 truly Great Films under his belt. he's the champ. nobody comes close to that - most Directors are insanely lucky to get ONE. Scorsese is it. he's the GOAT, he's the godlike, he's whatever term for greatness you can come up with. so while Spielberg has the God-Given gift for simply creating moving pictures, Scorsese has the God-Given gift of simply creating moving stories. you can't find even a dull or uninspired movie in all his arsenal past 1980 or so. they're not all GREAT, but they're all at least interesting. most are Great. nobody can top that. Spielberg's next, probably. in terms of living Director of Western Film. two geniuses still at the top, talking about their art - chopping it up. this is special stuff.

Odd how Spielberg overtly dresses as a boy with rolled up pant sleeves and canvas sneakers. He can wear whatever he wants but it seems like a fashion statement, particularly at a semi-formal event.
