Dagger-spear-arena, PA hit/dagger bash, boundless strike, Nyx impale. Literally all their spells have a stun, so if he gets jumped anyway he'd be dead in an instant. He'd play the same way regardless of if he got book of shadows. It's his teammate who has to have the book of shadows and doing the saving.
