Find two unknowns by the substitution method! It's exactly as it sounds, SUBSTITUTE one of the equations into the other to solve and find the first unknown. Then, SUBSTITUTE this value into the original equation to solve and find the second unknown! Easy! Kind of ;)

I agree with you. I am very pleased to have come across The Maths Prof as well as Tech Maths. It is true that you can learn and relearn from RU-vid as too many teachers and tuition teacher don't have the time or it is not in their best interest to teacher a better way in 10 minutes.

We are both right :-) They are the same thing. The order of the terms can change on the right hand side but the signs remain the same (3y is negative and 5 is positive)
