The Matrix Method for Solving Simultaneous linear equations  

A pair of linear equations in two unknowns can also be solved using the matrix method. We first make sure the equations are written to match the arrangement of the variables. ie the positions of the variables in the two equations MUST be the same. We form three matrices. The first being the matrix of the coefficients of the variables, the second is the column matrix of the variables and the third is the column matrix of the constants. We find the inverse matrix of the coefficient matrix and then pre-multiply both sides of the matrix equation to get our solution. ‪@EndzeMathsSolutions-mp1wn‬
